Hey, my Dad has passed on too, so I'm alone like you, but I find a quiet place and sit and talk to him...reflect back on his memory and some good times we shared. That's about all you can do. Go to the corner grocer and buy one single white rose. Pin it to your jacket, top or dress and wear it around all day. Then at the end of the day, take it off and press it into a book and write the date on it...always remembering your Dad. :-)

The question you asked is an excellent one. A commandment of God and the only commandment with a promise linked: Honor thy father and thy mom: that thy days could be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. (Exodus 20:12) Celebrating mom's Day or Father's Day has no longer something to do with any pagan occasion of the previous because of the fact the Watchtower teaches. remember of fact that is surprising and fascinating ingredient to be a father or a mom and toddlers are a latest. whilst this present, given via God, follows the Commandments of God it delights the middle of the mom and dad and God Almighty. God chosen our mom and dad for us and to honor our mom and dad of the flesh is to honor the call of Almighty God.

it still has meaning for you. Use it to remeber your dad. Don't just dwell on the negative and it is ok to be sad. You aren't excited about it cause you are going to have to change how you have celebrated it and your not able to share it with you dad. Do something he liked to do in his honor like fixing his fav. meal

I know it's tough...but celebrate his life today. All of the great memories that you have with him. Be thankful for all of the wonderful times that you shared. I'm sorry for your loss.

Have your family get together and make his favorite meals and deserts . It is hard when you lose a loved one. I miss my dad dearly, wish he was still around.

If you feel comfortable with visiting his resting place, then do so.
