Marriage & Divorce - 17 June 2007

My wife has stopped wearing her wedding band and she is spending more time with her friends and colleagues. We talk but we don't communicate like we used to. I don't want a confrontation because it will make matters worse. Are we heading down the path of no return?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 years. We are definetely at a crossroads in our relationship. We are probaby going to get engaged sometimes w/ in the next year.

I'm excited, but I"m also scared. What if he's not the one. I don't ever want to be divorced. My parents were divorced and I just can't go through with it.

I'm trying to make up pros and cons as to reasons to stay in a relationship/marriage, and reasons not to. What kind of questions should I ask myself.

Questions in terms of dating, engagement, marriage and family.

My childs mother has not allowed me to see my kid in about 6 months. I pay child support, health and dental on time every month since she was born. Custody and visitation was never established in our case. I walk on eggshells to keep her happy but its not enough sometimes. I would like to see my child whenever id like to but she dosen't allow me to. She threats to call the cops if I show up at her house. Is there anyway to be granted visitation without spending thousands for a lawyer? Is there a form to fill out or something? If anyone has any ideas PLEASE HELP. I live in Oklahoma, Tulsa County. I am 33 and don't know if I want to get married. Do you think modern society needs marriage? I make 6 figures, own a house and don't see the need for it? Am I nuts and will regret it when I am old and lonely -- or am I making the right decision? Look my in laws want to come and see there daughter before she leaves for her 9 month tour for Iraq. She only has 2 weeks and my birthday and are one year anniversary falls in the 2 weeks.They want to come down for a week. Stay in are apartment. We only have a small one bedroom apartment my inlaws are to say the least big people. We dont have the room. They asked if they could sleep in are bed I told my wife no because were would we sleep they want us to sleep on the floor or get a air mattress. I said the last week that get to spend with my its not going to be on a futon I want my bed There is no way for the last week I'm going t I told them to get a hotel. Wife wants to go back to Ny for the next week. So she can visit her other family. This is going to be the first time that my wife is going to be gone for that amount of time. I want to spend some alone time with my wife is that to much to ask? When her parents are around I cant get a word in she just ignores me. what should I do.

my boyfriend and I have been together for 6 months. we are close as hell. He's like my best friend, we talk about everything and do everything together. We fight like any couple but we also make up and take good care of each other emotionally. We were supposed to leave NJ together but now I have to go ahead of him. I am nervous as hell about it! How we will feel when we're not near each other has been on my mind. It should only be for four months or so.

Has anyone on here had this sort of change in their relationship ( due to college, job relocation, family emergency etc.)?? How did it turn out? Is it possible for a relationship to go from close distance to long distance and still survive?

Has anyone out there ever felt about someone that he/she was without a doubt the person they were going to marry?

This feeling was SO strong, it was almost as if God was speaking directly to me. (It happened in church to top things off)

We did end up dating, but our relationship broke up after about 5 mos. because he said he didn't have strong enough feelings for me. (He also realized it was too soon to date after his divorce.)

It's been 3 months, but I still feel like it's going to happen some day. We are still very close friends, and every time I try to put the past behind me, I have a weird dream, or a feeling, or he'll do something that makes me think...just hold out a while.

Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe not. Either way, I'm asking a bunch of strangers for an opinion! What does THAT say!? :-)

My ex and I were together for 2 years and have known each other for almost 3 now. He was not only my lover, fiance, father of my children, but my best friend. A couple of months ago he beat me and I will admit it wasn't only him I smacked him because something he said was very wrong for him to say. Well I'm not saying either one of us were right. Well he moved out and after a few weeks he started dating someone else and then broke up with them because we were going to get back together. Then he went to jail for something he had nothing to do with. He got out and right before he had gotten another gf, not me. i was there for him the entire time and while he was in the he said many times how much he loved me and couldn't wait to come home. However, when he got out he stayed with her and basically didn't mean anything he said while he was in there. He also said he wanted to marry me. Well i'm dating someone new. i still love him. What should I do? The new guy annoys me.

I met my best friend last August. For me, it was love at first sight, but it took him awhile to get on the same page as me. He finally realized he liked me too. We started dating in Dec. We have grown really close. We started talking about marrige. We agreed that we want to marry each other. (I knew I wanted to marry him the moment I saw him...i couldn't tell you what it was, I just knew) We want to get married right after our senior year of high school. (when we will both be 18) I love him more than anything in the world and I'd give anything and everything for him. We're both in college and still somewhat dependent on our parents. our parents help us financially and we go to our houses during summer/breaks. I wanna ask her to marry me, but should I get her parents' permission first? I know they'll say yes as her dad said I'm the son he's never had. (she's an only child). I'm saving up for a ring. (i kinda lied and said i'm saving up for a car, but she'll find out in about 6 months.) Do i ask and then get the ring, or do I get the ring, show it to her parents and then ask for permission?

I have always had a collection of porn, whether it be magazines, videos, and/or dvds. I enjoy watching it but my spouse hates it beyond belief. Why do men and women normally feel so differently about such things. I don't believe I have any sort of addiction but tv and other sources are making it out to be that anyone that has any of this medium be under extreme scrutiny.
