They get so caught up in supporting their family they lose sight of the big picture. Although it's too bad some wives can't figure that out and be a little more supportive.

Most men who seem to pay more attention to their job usually are (in their heart of hearts) doing this for their family. They are making sure that wife and kids don't do without. In so doing, they forget that their family wants them and their time, too.

Men also find a bit of their identification in their vocation. This can lead to a bit of "job worship", as well.

Then, you could also give him something to look forward to come home to. Not saying that you aren't, but sometimes, a guy will rush home knowing the Mrs. is waiting especially for the Mr. to come home (hey, we're adults here, right?).

Instead of complaining to him about all his hard work, let him know that you appreciate how he takes care of the ones he loves and how he honors his employer by working so hard. Then, you could ask him when would be a good time for him to come home early or take a couple of days off because you miss him being around.

Sometimes, it is all in the approach.

The man vs women thing is getting kind of old isn't it?

Get it right. It's women that just love money. It's men that just love sex.

If you going to be sexist, at least follow the rule book. geez.

My ex was like this, and he grew up having to get everything himself, and to me I think it settles with them as they grow up but when they get married and have families I think they forget that they do have families and life isnt just about making money, what good is it when you cant enjoy your family and that is your top priority to strive for in life they never get that....
