and i dont' understand beacuse we had been married for 11 yrs and we have a child that we both have share custody i get the child from wed night until sun morn which i dont understand why/ we will be going back to court in july they call it a custodial evaluation.what can i do.

My husband hit me at the weekend - a slap across the face. He claims it was my fault as I was pestering him about an old girlfriend. I did pester him as I was wanting to hear that I was great compared to her blah, blah as I was feeling a little low and wanted a boost. He wouldn't make any comments and so I kept on digging and digging. He eventually blew up and hit me. However, I don't think there is an excuse for physical violence and certainly the reaction I have had since then is even worse. My husband now wants me and the children to leave. He says he doesn't give a monkeys and wont even talk it through. He hasn't apologised or even been remotely upset about it. I feel devastated. We have been married for 2 and a bit years and have a daughter together (plus there is my son from a previous relationship). I can't believe men are so worthless. I have nowhere to go and no money so he will be okay but I will be in the poo if I leave. Any advice?

My son lives with me on the weekdays and sees his dad pretty much every weekend. Since my son will be starting first grade in the fall, his father wants to reverse the agreement, where he'll spend weekdays with his dad and weekends with me. My ex reasons are that he earns more money, lives in a better neighborhood and school district, and so he thinks he could provide a better environment. I can't imagine separating from my son. I don't want him to feel abandoned. I also don't want my ex's live in girlfriend playing "mom" to my son. My ex gave me the summer to think about it so the transition can be easy on my son. Should I go along with the idea?

Me and my husband are married, but i am starting to get bored in our relationship. I am now more attracted to woman then i am attracted to men. So my question is how do i tell my husband i want a divorce and how do i tell him its because i am intrested in females. Also when would be the best time. Keep in mind i have two children of my own. I've been engaged for 18 months and recently moved in for a june 24 wedding. Mail came today addressed to him (I didn't open it) and the ex-wife's had beneficiary info on the address. They have been divorced for over 13 years and their kids are in their 30's. This just created HUGE mistrust...they've been divorced for 13 years and the EX hates me (grandkids can't even tell the EX when they come over and bake cookies with me without her getting super upset). How is best way to handle..feel like I need to run for my life!!!

My fiance's parents are divorced and between the two sides of his family, there is some event going on practically every week. I don't want to spend every weekend with them. In fact, I don't want to see these people unless it's Thanksgiving or some other holiday where you have to deal with relatives. I'm getting really sick of seeing them and am feeling suffocated. But my fiance wants to go to every single one of these gatherings! All of his cousins' girlfriends always tag along for all of these events and he prefers that I go along with him too. Do you think it isn't a good idea for us to get married? Will there be problems down the road because I don't want to see his family every week?

So I am 16 and about to be a juinor and my boyfriend just graduated. He is going to California to go to boot camp for Marines and I still have to stay in Texas and finish high school. We have only been dating two months but I have never felt this way about a guy before. He always says how when I graduate he is going to propose and that we are going to get married. My husband can be really nice, then he will say something really, really, really mean or demeaning to me out of the blue. No, I am not being overly sensitive, other people told me it is mean or demeaning too. This happends a couple of times a week and he won't apologize for it, but expects me to apologize if I hurt his feelings. Are most husbands like this?

I see this most of the time where people just read the first maybe 2 sentences and then answer the question with out truely answering the question at hand.

Explains why most kids fail exams in school too. It's not that they don't know it's just that they do not taketime to read and understand the question like most of you

I have not 'lived in' with anyone yet and will do next year (after 6 yrs of relationship) coz am due to have a baby in 2008. We have decided to live in my house (my BF has his own place too which he will put into rental) , and am paying 2200 for the home mortgage. I don't know how to split the payment when we move in together....this is what I plan to suggest to him...
1. We will pay 50-50 on the mortage (1,100 each)
2) We will pay 50-50 for the babysitting (300 each)
3) We wiil pay 50-50 for all the house bills (cable, garbage, food, pge etc . Probably around 300 each

So he has to give me 1600/month (his share). I have not told him yet this.. do you think my split payment plan and amount given above fare enough? Am I asking that much money from him. Well, its not about money, but eventually we must discuss this in the future.. so I want to be ready with my suggestion. Pls advise.

my love of my life is my romeo. out parents wont let us date because he is 18 and im 15. only three year difference. we are in love and plan to get married when i turn 18. but for now our parents keep hanging the jail factor over our heads. i tried for our sake to break up with him. and he said he wanted to kill himself. thats how much he loves me. but if we stay together he will go to jail because we have a no contact order with each other our parents put up. i dont know what to do. i could run away with him. or i could leave him. but im afraid he may hurt himself or end his life. i have thought about it to..killing myself. my life at home is awful, i hate my parents and sister. he has fallen in love with me and has given me hope for my future. i just dont know what to do anymore. we love each other so much. ...

Hi. Im a confident person, and have no inseciruties, or so i thot, until i realised my husband takes work calles wayyyy after he finishes work, like 6pm, and 8pm. He is a computer technician, and he works aroun schools, he gets calls from female teachers, 2 in particular. One woman, he doesnt even go to the school, she's married but still calls him. He thinks im making a big deal out of nothing. And the other calls for computer questions, which she can ask at work. Am i over reacting by asking him to switch his phone off in the evenings?

How come you dont see the same phenomenon among women ? Women are still looking forward to marriage as much as their peers 50 years ago despite the high divorce rates. Why did the social change majorly affect mens marriage willingness and had only very little impact on womens marriage willingness ?
