Does it seem possible that a husband and wife, after twenty yeasr of marriage with a couple kids, could have an very active and happy sex life, (oral, anal, toys, light B&D but no threesomes or anything multiple) and then suddenly one of the partners declares that they have grown beyond the need for sexual intimacy? To go from one extreme to the other, calling it sexual burn out, seems to be,,,very strange. The partner in question is the wife and, before you ask, she wasn't forced into anything previous to this and was usually the instigator.

I need help, I cant get over my x husband. I cant move on because i compare everyone i date to him. He had so many good qualities that i feel no one can measure up to however, he was an abusive alcohlic. i just cant mentally erase the good. My x husband was actually my first boyfriend. i met him at 17. he was 22. we met at a party were everyone, including him, was drinking. he liked me because i was the only one that didnt drink, in other words, because i was so innocent and also we were very attracted to each other. i was young and dumb and immediately innfatuated. I lost my virginity to him, became completely attached and we got married. After we had a baby, he got borred and restless, went back to the bars and back to his single friends. We got a divorce after repeated abuse and neglect. he had to sides; when he was sober he was the sweetest person in the world. i need help moving on. any suggestions. i don't know why this is so hard for me...

My husband spent our first year of marriage deployed- he's been back for 5 months and is now "in the field" for another month of training. I guess i'm just lonely having moved to a new base away from family and friends and i'm feeling - i guess abandoned is the best way to describe my feelings. I just need to hear some positive thoughts from people because the women I met at the last military wives base meeting seemed too much into the benefits (money, etc) of your husband being gone and there wasn't any talk of how to deal with them being gone

I never personally saw the point. Why do two people who are in a normal, perfectly healthy relationship want to ruin it by turning each other into property? It doesn't seem to make the relationship better than it already is, and half of them end in divorce anyway (in other words, married people break up at about the same rate as unmarried people), so honestly what is the point?

What's the downside of just living together forever if that's how it's meant to be just on the merit of your own love and trust, instead of the false sense of security from a contract and a ring?

Real answers, please, not lame defensive little attacks. I'm not trying to bash anyone, I just want to know.

I just got married a couple of months ago to this girl that I had a huge crush when we were young. One time I was reminiscing about my past through a series of photos when I was in grade school & I saw her name pop up to one of those yahoo groups. I made the first step by emailing her & the rest went on. We started chatting over yahoo & after a month we decided to have an online relationship. We treated that relationship like a normal one with whole honesty. But after a month I decided to fly over to the States to spend sometime with her then come back home to NZ. She suggested for me to just find work there & so I did cos it is a good idea rather than have a long distance one. After staying here with her for a good 4 months she suggested for us to get married so that I don't have to go back home & then retracted from it. It felt like she was playing games but in the end she pushed through with it. Now every fight gets worse & up to the point that she started hitting me. HELP!

Okay so my husband has been talking to this girl from high school he had a crush on...He has told me and is not keeping it from me. She on the other hand has been very flirtatious and she is married she always makes remarks about if he is happy and several times he has answerd yes. She admits to being flirty and my husband doesn't mind? Is she trying to steal him from me because she is unhappy? Remember my hubby is telling me this and i have seen the emails. I just don't trust her..

I am 18 and in love with a 17 year old girl. We have been together a long time now, and have talked about getting married next summer after she turns 18. Everybody else seems to think this is a stupid idea because "we're still young", but we think we can do it. Are we really stupid here? Or does anybody else agree that we can make this happen?

I'm a healthy 26 year old male. I am in a relationship with a woman who I have been with for almost 5 yrs, have a child with and have another one on the way. I feel very fortunate for this. Here's my issue. She has a condition called endomitiosis. In a very small nutshell, it causes pain and discomfort in the woman's sexual anatomy. I love her very much and try not to impose on her very often. However, being I have a healthy libido, I become very conflicted within myself. (I have a strong urge to, but will feel badly if I do, so I either am not fufilled or end up having unfufilling sex due to a huge amount of guilt.) I try to understand her feelings too. (She wants to, but doesn't want to because of fear and discomfort, so she ends up feeling unfufilled and guilty as well.) I have researched this topic and I am well aware of the procedure involved to combat this condition. I also know that due to her pregnacy she will be less likely to want sexual interaction. Any input please.

My husband is moving to GA in Jan and I am staying behind. I have lived in CA all my life (my family is here) He is originally from Iowa. He took the job offer out there without talking to me about it. He has had so much control in my life that I guess he thought I would just go. We own a mobile home and I don't know whether I should buy him out (30,000) ??? But my MAIN question is, I'll be filing paperwork for divorce so that he doesn't screw me over. (we've gone through the process before and he almost got away with the mobile and 60,000. He will be served papers. HOW DO I MAKE IT A CIVIL CHRISTMAS??? WHAT CAN i DO? I am holding christmas at our home and I know all hell is going to break loss when he realizes I'm divorcing him when he gets served. Please help!

Cuz I found out from the courthouse that it would cost like $300 to file my own. Does anyone know a cheaper way minus the filing fee, or do you HAVE TO pay filing fee?

My husband has been entirely disinterested in sex pretty much since he got laid off in August...he says he's just too stressed. The thing is, we are newly weds...we have sex occasionally these days...when we do it's pretty much just him getting his and then us going to sleep...when i want to make love and i put the moves on him he says " i'm not in the mood " i find myself feeling very alone and very rejected...i've tried talking to him...it doesn't work. I love making love with him...it's the ultimate way of expressing my love to him. I'm confused and i'm frustrated. I think i'm just ready to give up and forget sex all together. I'm tired of feeling undesirable to the man i care more for than anything else in the world...as a last result after yet another night of disappointment and rejection...i'm on here...asking anyone that can help...what i might be able to do to get my love life back on track with the "love" of my life?
