What would you advise - a marriage where 2 people simply do not connect except for household issues, and there is no physical contact for more than a year. Should people try to remain friends and stick together because of the children, or should they separate, especially if he has found love elsewhere?
I need to know what to say because I am lost between thinking about her children, yet knowing she knows he'd rather be with someone else.

Married for almost 4 yrs. We have had only minor problems so far. I'm 29. She's 23. She tells me that she "doesn't love me like that". It's more like a best friend. I have made a lot of personal progress within myself as far as dealing with my personal issues. I am trying desperately to save our marriage. I love her so much! Since she left 2 weeks ago I realize that even more. She is staying with her mother now. Mom has been divorced 3 times. My wife has been burned by numerous close relationships. Both family and friends. I think she is having commitment issues because of her own family growing up. I think this is some kind of defense mechanism that I can't seem to penetrate. I am in this marriage for better or worse. She is so pessimistic about seeing me in a different light. She doesn't seem to be sexually interested in me. I know she has not cheated on me, but I think she can't see a future for us because she has never seen it with her mom.

My husband has an insane need to have sex. He is constantly making reference to sex, touching me(even when it is not appropriate), asking for sex at inappropriate time(when our 17mo. son is awake, and running around the house), and he gets furious when I say no. He calls me an ice queen. I just don't have any desire to have sex, and it has become a major problem in our marriage. I have even considered divorce, because I am so tired of everything in our lives being referenced back to sex. Any advice?

We had met on internet about 5 or 6 years ago . i was about 14 and he was 21. We were in different countries. We chatted and dated. had really good time together. I turned 18 and my parents found out. they were going to marry me with one of the guys they like ( my mom's friends son) . but i hated him . he was ugly. i was in love with the internet guy. and i ran away from home. we got married about 2 and half years ago. but i couldn't take it any more staying with his family. so i came back to America. with him. then i started talking to my dad and my sisters. my mom would still not talk to me. now i m happy with him . but i don't some times i think it shouldn't have happned like that. whenever i think about my past i think its a dream. or a movie. when i ran away it came into the newspaper in that country. and it doesn't seem like true. i know the worst thing i did was i hurt my parents. now i m 21 and we are planning to have a baby. my husband love me and take really good care of me!

I have to talk to a girl's family regarding my marriage proposal with their daughter.
So, I need to know how I should approach them. And how should I start? I m pretty confused..
They have no clue about this and the girl doesn't want to talk to them first about me.
So, I need some help with this.
Thanks in advance.

I separated from my husband of 3.5 years last month. He has cheated on me twice (that I know about), and the final straw was that he was lying to me about attending college classes that I ultimately paid for. We have a 1 year old son, and another kid on the way, and he has never really stepped up to the plate for them, either.
I wrote him a letter 2 weeks ago, basically telling him that I need him to be faithful, to be the head of our household, to take care of me and our kids... basic marriage/family stuff- nothing extrodinary, or that shouldnt be expected from anyone married. The following day he told me that he couldnt do the things I asked for in the letter, and that he believed we hadnt been happy for years and that he just wants his son to have 2 happy parents, so he said it was over. I accepted this- if he doesnt want to put effort in, then its not worth it for me. Today he asked me for another chance, and said he said those things so he wouldnt hurt me anymore. I think im done

We've been together for nearly 3 years. I am currently 22 and he is 34. I feel like we are growing apart because of our pride, we spend increasing amounts of time apart. I know he loves me, and I deeply love him, we want a life together and I am currently 37 wks pregnant with our planned baby. He makes it very difficult for me to be happy with him, he is just naturally a negative type of person, very judgmental, and pretty much arrogant and fairly self centred. I will admit that I am growing increasingly negative as well, its hard not to, and I end up critising him! I some times feel as tho the only reason he's with me is because I am another possecion to him-he's materialistic-as I am not bad looking and can hold intelligent conversations with the 'type' of people he likes to be around. (snobs) lately we are in a habit of basicly ignoring each other, acting as if we dont care, rarely have sex, and show minimal affection, we are becomeing competitive toward each other! ...HELP?!?!

The other day I confessed to my MIL that something she always says irritates me. She began crying and said I make a big thing out of a small one. Really! All I was trying to do was communicate. The next day she would not talk to me and her and my FIL just sat there quietly so I decided to go and talk to them and try to make them understand me. But now I feel totally manipulated to have felt sorry for them. I never said anything wrong! Why would she give me the coldness and the silence the next day and on top of that didn't she just make a big deal over nothing? They have done this constantly with their son and he doesn't give a crap when they do this but I guess I am learning and now I am just kicking myself for their baby like attitude. I feel as if they will do anything to make you feel like **** to win there ways or for you to feel sorry for them. I am so angry with them! When should you stop caring? If she was so bothered shouldn't she have come to me? Was I stupid or what!?

I have been dating exclusively through the internet for a few years now. In the process of e-mailing & chatting back & forth, I often mention that I regularly go to the tanning salon. More often than not, these women seem to be surprised and or, put off by this. I would have thought just the opposite.
Most guys look forward to a nicely tanned woman. I would have thought the same in return. Girls, care to shed any light on this???

i think women are... because it's easy to spot guys who will just use you for sex, but with women, it's hard to tell who will backstab you.. personal experience. i think girls are great liars, too. and you never know what on earth they're thinking. men are more obvious and simple. of course men would probably say women are more evil and women say men are more evil...
