I broke up with my ex when my daughter (now almost 6) was 3 years old. Her father can only see her at supervised visituations which he "refuses to pay for anyone to watch him with his child." Thus he has not made any contact with her in over a year. Needless to say he's not an "outstanding citizen" and I almost feel that it is in her best interest not to be involved with him.
I am concerned that my daughter is going to have abandonment issues (which has has already asked me "why doesn't my daddy love me?") when she grows up. Any help or advice would be much appreciated from any of you folks who have experienced or are experiencing something similar with your child.

I wonder if abusive men ever see their own mistakes in a marriage. Or, do they constantly point the finger at others and say that their behavior was justified?

After 5 1/2 years he says that he is tired of being married. I thought he was the love of my life and that we would be together forever. I am so devastated that I can hardly function. I am a strong woman and know I will be OK but I would be much better if I could just stop loving him. If you have any idea how to stop loving someone or how to get over a badly broken heart please help. I could use any advice.

Been a good person , didn't use dirty tactics thought that good would come of it "WRONG WAS I"now kids are with them, can't go and confront the issue( the court says I can'talk to her or vist my kids at her residiece)GOOD ONE.
What do you do if the law is on someone's side that used the system to get them what they wanted them to believe.Kids are in danger both mentally & physically ,Socail Services are aware but have done nothing, but get a 10 year old &two 6 year's old more abuse(the system my be at work but what are they looking at)I'm a very upset non-custodial dad!

What was your experience like? Did you have a visitation schedule and travel between two homes? Did you maintain a good relationship and sense of family or did your parents undermine eachother and put you in the middle? Did anybody become estranged from their dad in the process?

My husband and I have been arguing a lot lately. We have two small children (both under the age of 3). I just found out that he changed the locks to the home we are currently renting. Is he legally allowed to do that? I'm staying with my mother tonight and have no way to get into my own home. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Do you cheat and lie? If you do, do you feel guilty? Do you go with other people and tell your partner? Are you faithfull and resent it? Are you faithfull, have good reasons to be and are satisfied with it?

I am 33, been married for 11 years. Husband was my high school
sweetheart (we started dating when I was 17) and the first & only man in my life, of course, until now. 2 years ago around Xmas time, hubby filed divorce on me because he met someone else. I stuck out and beg for a second chance. We got back together. But, life is different since the incidence. I still like him and care about him a lot, but I no longer have the love / lust for him. I couldn't look at him as a woman looks at a man.

Then there was this guy (boyfriend). We used to work together, same company, different department. We got along but were never really close. Earlier this year, I left the company and took a new job elsewhere. 5 months after I quit, he approached me and hinted that he wants to be "more than just friends". Despite that fact I was really attracted to him, I declined the offer, because both of us are married. He was pretty aggressive and determined in a way, and eventually convinced me.

Just to point this out, I never have nor probably will use a prostitute. It's just this:

Marriage in the U.S. is supposedly about free will. Nevertheless, women care a lot about how much money their husband makes and they'll divorce him if he loses his job. (kind of illogical since it removes a potential stream of income).

If you do the math, you might need $50,000/year to keep Susie B. from divorcing you. A prostitute costs, for the sake of argument, $50 per session. (not sure of the rate).

If you used the prostitute every day of the year, that would only be 18,250, and most guys aren't in the mood everyday. Plus, no divorce settlement, no custody issues, no hassle, etc.

It almost makes sense that countries in which there is a dowry and an arranged marriage are more honest, because they bring the money issue to the forefront and settle it once and for all. Perhaps as mature cultures, they've captured human nature more succinctly.
