If people know that their sex life is a big deal to them, why don't they make 100% sure that they "jive" with the other person before they get married? I'm tired of hearing about people who stay married but cheat because they're not sexually satisfied.

I am Indian living in US and married to an Indian as per the Hindu marriage act. Unfortunately, our relationship is on the verge of end and we are looking for a divorce. Can anyone suggest, if I should file for the divorce in India or can I file for divorce in US. Thank you.

My child is 14 and lives with my ex in another state. He has not followed the Visitation guidelines per the divorce decree and I have not seen regularly as I was supposed to.

She did come to visit me this past summer and enjoyed her visit.

I don't know if I have hurt her by ending the marraige. My ex was and is still controlling, money-minded and abusive.

I wonder if its better for children to grow up with two parents or in a peaceful single parent home. My ex works late and does not give her the time and attention that she needs. I have asked him to send her to me, but he does not agree.

My mother-in-law says that I have not put her first and have not made her an intelligent girl even though I may be intelligent.

I feel like I have failed in life.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE KIDS WHO WERE BORN IN THE

1930's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they carried us.

They took aspirin, ate soft cheese, shell fish, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, our baby cots were covered with bright coloured lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking .

As children, we would ride in cars with no seat belts or air bags.

Riding 2 up on your bike was a way of life.

We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle.

We shared a bottle of pop with four friends, all drank from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this.

We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank fizzy drinks with SUGAR in it, but we weren't overweight because......

WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!! NOT IN FRONT OF A TV AND PLAYING VIDEO GAMES!!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on.

No one was able to reach us all day. And we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem .

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 99 channels on cable, no video tape movies, no surround sound, no cell phones, no text messaging, no personal computers, no Internet or Internet chat rooms..........WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no lawsuits from these accidents .

We played with worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever.

The boys were given toy guns for their 10th birthdays,

made up games with sticks and tennis balls and although we were told it would happen, we did not put out anyones eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just yelled for them!

The local team had tryouts and not everyone got in. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!!

The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

This generation has produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever!

The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas.

We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned

HOW TO
DEAL WITH IT ALL!

And YOU are one of them!

CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated our lives for our own good.

and while you are at it, forward it to anyone born from 1980 onwards so they will know how brave you are!!!

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!

I am an Indian (living in US) and my first marriage was love marriage which was not successful due to incompatibilites. Is it okay to get remarried in an arranged way now? Is it like getting a life partner is a difficult task (I am well settled, and simple person) for a guy who was married once. Is it good to look for an Indian girl who is already in US or look for someone in India? Should I look for only divorced girls, or can I also look for unmarried girls. Do unmarried girls get married to divorced young guys who are well settled. Thanks you friends in advance for your answers.

Thanks.

What do you think about it?
One of my friends is engaged to a nineteen year old guy. We've met him and he's very, very cool. He asked her hand in marriage and they've been engaged since 2003. Now, I don'y know, but it just seems wierd that a 19-year old would fall in love with a 12-year old. We're worried that he might do something inappropriate and abuse her in some way in the furture, but what do you think? Was it right that she said yes to him, especially since she hasn't even had a chance with other guys? I mean, he's the only guy she's ever "been in love with" and it doesn't seem right that she has her feelings about guys straighta nd knows what she wants at this age... She hasn't even gone through any emotional and/or mental "growing pains." I don't think it's right, but I still think it's love.

She has called the dr and he just says its normal. Shes complain that her nipple is getting a shocking feeling an her meds are not helping. I have never seen her this way and Im worried she may be infected. Is this normal to feel this way????

Holiday hell with new mother-in-law?
About a month ago I had asked my mother in law if she would mind If I do Thanksgiving my mother had no problem with it but mother in law did. She said it was her favorite holiday and she wanted to do it. I said no problem I just thought it would make things a little easier so that we wouldn't have to go to her house at 12 and my moms at 5. I have no problem doing that but my mother inlaw does. She thinks you should go to one place for the holidays I have always went to 2 familys for thanksgiving and I want to keep it that way. I like to see my family every year as well as my husbands family and I am willing to do both.
My mother-in-law is being really selfish she calls last night to talk to my husband and they are discusing Thanksgiving my husband tells her that we won't be eating dinner there we will have appitizers and stay a while but we are eating at my wifes mothers because we ate last year at your house for dinner. This is the problem my mom is flexible she will do lunch or dinn

I'm 23 years old and I live in a house with my parents, don't respect my feelings. I have a girlfriend who's now my fiance, and my parents won't even let me see her anymore. We're each other's best friend in real life. I've been engaged to her since November of 2004,and had been dating 5 years prior to that they've never had a problem with her before, and now we're set to get married in February of next year, and my parents now don't want me anywhere near her.

They said, "John, we forbid you to go anywhere near her, and you can't see her ever again."

She leaves in April of next year for Saskatchewan, I was going to live with her and start my own famly. They're preventing me from pursuing my one dream in life to have a family with the one girl in this world that I truly care about.

What do I do? I'm so confused and so unhappy, and so is my fiance?

I split from my ex in Easter this year, but then he chats to me on the phone or messenger and is all friendly then he runs off to his solicitor with malicious information about me in order to gain custody of our 4 year old daughter.

I stayed at my parents house for a week and because he couldn't get in contact with me he told his solicitor that I had moved house!

He has our daughter over night every Friday and I wasn't going to go against this arrangement, but he said that I was going to prevent him from seeing his daughter. Why is he doing this and what should I do?
