Good reasons - For love and because you want to be with that person forever
Bad reasons - For a bet, because the girl is pregnant, because you felt that if you didn't marry that person you'd never get married
To get away from your parents

Good reasons - because you love the person and can see yourself happy with them 20 yrs from now, can trust them and communicate honestly with them
Bad reasons - because you feel forced to or someone in your family says its "time" for you to get married or because you feel that you have no other choice.

Love is the only reason to get married. Just make sure it's to someone that you want to spend your life with. It really is and should be thought of as sacred. Respect the vows.

Happy Thanksgiving, I just bet you're busy! Lets say there is this happily married active young "gramma" who, god forbid, loses her companion...Or perhaps she is just musing...
You find you are very attracted to someone and you are in need of someone to cuddle. You walk around wishing...
So now you are attracted to someone otherwise the question is pointless, yes?
This person must leave you feeling good about yourself at no one else's expense.
They are kind and are interested in your opinions and feelings.
They notice you. We need to be noticed yes?...very validating!
When they look at you and you look at them, everything everything everything else becomes a backdrop, a cardboard stage prop. Now we know the magic is there!
Now we are seeing someone, but should we marry them?
Times passes, something happens and this person consoles and helps us, we are reassured of our love.
We come to realize this person would never hurt or betray us on purpose...life is good!
Something will reveal their feelings about us are stronger than the cords of death.
We begin to think this might work, yes? Happy day, we have met a being worthy of companionship!
If any of this is missing you haven't found me:) keep looking:)

In my opinion marriage isnt the answer to security. Living in a de facto is probably the best way to experience the other person before you decide to get married.
Good - Sex on tap
Bad - Restricted to one person for sex for LIFE.
Scary!

because you love that person and the feeling is mutual and you can see yourselves way down the road still as one
bad reasons- preggers, family or friends say so, because you feel sorry for that person or yourself(eg maybe you think ur a dog and no one else would be that desperate)

I would never get married through this government, I don't give them that much control over me and my choices.
do it in front of a Man of God (non-religious of coarse, God hated organized religions)

Hmm. Well, Marriage is a normal part of life.
We r not meant to live alone. Incapable actually.
So find a partner...love them...cherish & honor them...it's how it's supposed to be.
