I am a widow now for the 7th year in a row and I am alone for Thanksgiving also. My inlaws do not bother to invite me to anymore get togethers. My only son goes over to the inlaws. I am sitting here on my computer and being with my 2 dogs and a cat for Thankgiving. I do not mind. I do kinda feel left out. I have 4 days off from work and I have nothing else to do but play on the net.

My bf and I just split up after a 5 year relationship and he is with his family today while I set at home alone so to speak. But the funny part about mine is the fact that he is the one that messed up an not me. And his whole family knows this and they are ALL mad at him over our break up and he is the one that is going to catch it today from them. They invited me to the dinner and I told them if he brought me up there I would go if not I would stay home. He went without me, so he will catch heck from them today for doing me the way he did. His family thinks more of me than him.

I feel your pain. I know the feeling all too well. It just sucks. Thank goodness my adult children and daughter-in-law take care of me the best they can and appreciate me. I just feel sad also because my other son is deployed in Iraq and has to "celebrate" his Thanksgiving there.
