Marriage & Divorce - 19 November 2006

My husband does not want my family to see our kids because he said they had treated him "badly"when he went to visit them.He has a tendency to exagerate stories especially about my family.The thing is they are quite angry with him because he was physically abusive and had only stopped when I finally called the police.He thinks that I should not havetold them what happened because that is "our"business.He however carries our kids to his other woman's house and my son calls her aunty.

Me and my husband had separated about 4 years ago. We remained close friends and he did use my address alot because of his job and being gone a lot. When we separated I applied through my county DFACs for childcare benefits. Here is the problem - We decided to try and work things out and get back together and he stayed with me for about a month. Well things didnt work out so we again separated. He is at my house alot because of the kids and he keeps them alot when they are out of school and keeps them at my house. Well I got a letter the other day from DFACs stating they have confirmation that he is living here and they will not listen to a word I have to say. What should I do?? I mean I am willing to give up the benefits b/c it doesnt save me that much now that they both are in school. It is like whatever confirmation they have (they say it is anonymous) over rides whatever I have to say. What do you think DFACs will do?? My childcare has already been terminated.

I am asian and my fiance is white. My fiance's mom doesn't like me (cause I'm not white) and keeps comparing me to my fiance's white ex-girlfriend. She always puts me on the spot in front of people and interrogates me with questions. One time she told me that she doesn't feel comfortable that I'm dating her son and that her son needs to date "his own kind". I told my fiance what his mom told me and my fiance called his mom on the phone and they started arguing over me. He said "You can not tell me who to date. I love my fiance for what she is inside and not for the color of her skin!" and his mom was like "If you marry this woman, I'm not coming to your wedding! How dare you yell at me!" Blah Blah Blah.....
I feel like our wedding is put on hold because of this woman. If my fiance's mom doesn't come to our wedding then I know my fiance will be hurt because before he met me, him and his mom were like the best of friends. And I feel like I tore them apart or something.

My husband has never liked my friend (male), and my friend has never liked my husband. They actually hate eachother's guts. But it seems like my husband doesn't want me to ever talk with him again, and my friend tries to encourage me to lie to my husband about our friendship.

I love my husband, I just don't want to be one of those women that loses their friends after they get married.

My wife has never been good about cleaning up her own mess. I've tried talking to her about it. She just gets mad and locks herself in our room. I've tried doing it for her thinking she would feel guilty about me cleaning up her mess. She feels guilty but she still leaves messes around the house. I don't know what to do. I can't stand living this way. I love her so much but she is driving me insane. For instance. She fixed some pumpkin cheesecake cupcakes the other day. She never cleaned up she just put all the dishes in the sink. She also left the can of pumpkin sitting out and now it's molding. I've asked her now two or three times and the last time she got mad and went upstairs. Our room is a mess because she leaves clothes lying everywhere. The living room is a wreck with her stuff laying all over the coffee table and her dirty clothes on the floor. I shouldn't have to clean up her mess! But I can't stand it. How can I get her to be more responsible?

My husband doesn't pick up after himself, he doesn't clean, he puts his feet on our furniture. He actually put a cigarette burn in our brand new couch the other day and didn't even care! His only real "job" in this household is to take out the trash, and as I sit here there are 3 bags of trash sitting on my back porch waiting to be taken to the dumpster. So, men, what can I do to get him to take more responsibilty for the things that we've spent our hard earned money on? (and don't give me any "have sex" with him answers, we're married we already do that, okay.)

my ex-gf's mother convinced my ex that i was a bad person to be with her, when i gave everything i could to make her happy. we were absolutly happy, then her mother told my ex that i was cheating on her. thats what started the ex-gf thing. what can i do to make her see her mother is manipulating her?

My soon to be ex wife is comiting a couple of crimes here in the state of Florida, one is (silly enough) Adultery Cohabitation, the other (more seriously) Interfearance with Custody by not letting me see my son she is guilty of this crime. How do I put this into the divorce? Also because it was her lawyer who suggested that she not let me see my son can I sue him for this?

I have a theory that it's because he was my first and that since he has had more sex than I have - I tend to want it more than him. Still, I ask him why he doesn't want to have sex and he says that he doesn't like having sex when he's not ready. We go about once a week or even once every two weeks. Something's wrong, right? I wondered if he thought I was unattractive, but then all my friends yelled at me .. We are young, in love, just married .. shouldn't we be humping like bunnies?

Hi,
My husband filed divorce in California. Since California is community property state, I understand I must get half of property earned during our marriage.

I was with him right from my marriage to January this year.

Then I came to India, we were continue in touch through phone/mail/chat until July. He filed divorce in July.

Divorce is still pending... how much share I will be getting? Does the property will be counted till the date divorce granted or the date we physically separated?

I came to India on mutual understanding and for my further study.
I came to India twice to look after his father who was seriously sick that time.

Please advice how much I will get. My future depend on that.

I am currently going through divorce. My best friend and husband slept together 17 years ago. No big deal. My best friends mother has recently made the comment that my husband actually raped my best friend. Now my soon to be ex is causing problems for me (we have kids in common) and taking it out on me. I dont belive it and havent asked my friend. Hi girls! I am in a difficult position! I fall in love with a guy that is married and is about to have a baby! I met him 8 months ago.. he said he was an unhappy multimilionaire... and that the last time he had sex with his wife in two years ws to concieve the second child ( a week before that date)....he got drunk even cried and we spoke for 6 hours (never got numbers or emails) and met another 3 times in incredible coicidences that mades us really close to each other... now he is still unhappy, about to have a baby next month and wants to stay with me... the thing is: I am extreamelly agaist adultery, but I love him so much... can't stop think about about him.... he offered me 10 thousand pounds a month to stay on the side, I have a job that I hate and don't make money... he is 35 years old, gorgeus and fit, the most sweet person I ever met but how can I say yes? My so called husband wants a divorce and I'm fine with that we have a child together and we just bought a house. He decided he wanted a house after he told me he was leaving because I caught him checking. We've been toghether for 8 years and we have always had arguments about being together. Sometimes I ask him to stay sometimes he ask me for another chance. He always cheats on me and it seems like it getting worse. I sat down with him a few months ago and told him if he couldn't stop it would be over and he said he would . Now he wants a divorce. He finally admitted he has no feelings for me but why in the hell would you buy a house with someone you have no feelings for. I know my daughter has nothing to do with. It seems stupid someone please explain this rational. I yea we hardly ever have sex and I do all of the pushing to try and he alwas tired.
