Go for the Rambo method. Proper Gung-ho, all guns blazing. Deeply satisfying for you and top quality entertainment for all onlookers. Don't wait til they're at their weakest though, thats not sporting. You want to make a proper battle of it, show everyone your big brass bollocks.

You're the only one who has to put your head on the pillow each night and hopefully go to sleep with a clear conscience.

If it's a "real bad wrong" that was illegal? Call the cops and tell them you want to file a report for whatever the crime was, and provide them with the person's address, and let them take over from there. If it wasn't anything illegal, "just" immoral? I strongly suggest you let it go. I know that's not the answer you are hoping for. Maybe you were hoping when you posted this question that everybody out here in cyberspace would be giving you permission to go do something vengeful, I don't know. What I do know is - two wrongs don't make a right (as corny as THAT sounds)....and nobody I know (me included) ever regretted taking the high road.

Be a better person, not just for the offender, but for yourself.

An eye for an eye does not work , just causes more trouble.... whey not just try and sit down with this person and find out all the reasons why all this happened in the first place , and why destroy peoples lives ? And guns are not legal . Try to work it out without violence.

take the high road, which means if their is a legal moral way of dealing with this person then do so, if its just for revenge then your no better then he is. time has a way of making people pay for their actions., a good example is my x divorcing me, and trying to take me to the cleaners, today five years later i am remarried have back all i lost, and have my children with me, she lost everything and is living in a two bedroom apartment, and struggling to keep her job, she never worked well we were married, she divorced me and her lover dumped her when he found out the material thing he figured he was going to get where lost. they reap what they sew, what they have done bad comes back to them twice as hard. be a better person and take the high road on this one.

Wait and bide your time.Time and surprise is in your favor as long as this person has no ideal you know there whereabouts.Think every out. There is no reason to do anything to the people close them they had nothing to do with the wrong. Please think about your actions before you act on them.No need to get yourself in trouble then they win again.

Re-think your revenge! Certainly dont target the people closest to them. Know that what goes around comes around. U need do nothing to this person. They will get what is coming to them via fate.

You need to walk away, sorry.

Whatever this person did wrong, you need to cut it loose. You could wreck the rest of your life in the name of revenge.

Nearly every answer you have is along the same theme - think about that.

Best of luck.

The best way to deal with conflict is peacefully - do nothing.
It is not your place to right this wrong, let things just happen - the world will balance out eventually.
