Marriage & Divorce - 17 November 2006

We have been married 18 1/2 yrs. Having a lot of fights, and I want to go to marriage counseling, but he wont. He drinks and drives, drops what hes doing for our family and goes and helps his alcoholic friend and spends money we dont have, we live week to week. I'm ready for a divorce but have 2 teanager and still love him.. Got any advice?

I can't afford a divorce. I make too much to qualify for legal assistance but I can't afford a lawyer or rent and pay for the tuition of my daughter with Down's. He moved out and is seeing someone else but he won't divorce me. I believe that I can show that he committed adultery and that he abandoned the family once he files.
Has anyone been in a similar situation. MEN: Why won't he file. We only talk when it is about the children.

We have been married since June 3, 2006. I am always asking for sex and he is never interested. I take care of myself and my body is in good shape. It is really offensive and i always cry about it.

My ex is about to move in with his girlfriend - only 7 months after we separated. She has been introduced to our son - who is 9 - as a "friend". Two days ago she gave him a b-day present. When he told me about it he looked so guilty about it that I immediately told him it was okay to like this woman. It hurt like hell but I did it for his sake. Last night he asked me why we divorced and begged for us to get back together (he does this at least every 2nd night). I told him as gently as I could that it would not happened. I explained to him that mom and dad decided that we could not live together because we were not getting along and that we were moving on with our lives. I then told him that his Dad's "friend" is actually a girlfriend. I did not tell him about them moving in together. He got angry - he was upset that his Dad lied to him. I told him that his Dad still loved him and would always be a part of his life. Did I do the right thing? I was tired of lying to my son.

I have been buying my wife flowers every week for about a month now. I have noticed that she is a diffrent person since I started this. It a very good $10 dollar a week "investment" lol. She say she feels loved more when she gets them. I'm afraid they are becoming "old hat" What else could I buy her with/instead of the flowers?

my bf and i are to be married next yr.been together 4ys.me single never married,he divorced for 6yrs with one child.he has a huge(27k) debt from divorce ex really took him to the cleaners.he has asked me to help(payoff) with his debt.we both make about the same amount of money (65k yr)and spilt all the household bills but he has a huge child support payment and i don't.i know this sounds mean but i just feel since he CHOSE to have a child with a women he said he never really loved then HE should be the one who has to pay for his mistake.i told him no i wanted to save my money for retairment and he said ok but things are not the same between us now.i know he thinks i'm selfish but i just have a hard time paying of such a huge debt that was cuased by his exwife.please be honest with me im beggining to think i was wrong.

i am 22 and i had a civil wedding in the philippines in the beginning of 2001. we were married by a judge in my hometown in front of close family members. my marriage is not working out, for me and my husband don't get along at all. i married him cause i was already pregnant. he still lives in the philippines and i, on the other hand, lives here in the US. i havent changed my status here, nor change my last name for i knew that our marriage was a big mistake in the first place. although i am considered not married here in the US, i want to be able to go on with my life and get my marriage in the philippines annulled. i can no longer afford to go back in tye philippines and at the same time, just don't want to go back there again.

Note the person that broke up my marriage is my youngest sister. I have ask my daughters friends what they think and they are all aware that my sister and my ex are together. My girls call it friendship and ever holiday they want me to share it with them. I can't do that I have tried and it is like being slapped in the face. How should I handle this situation.

My mother is law is a really sweet person, however, a couple years ago she moved to Miami to live with me and my husband after being kicked out of the house. While she was living with us, she maintained her relationship with my hubby's ex-wife. This was in my face all the time (phone calls etc). And it caused alot of problems for my husband and myself.

One day my husband and I had a really big fight and he asked her to leave, and she did...only to move in with my husband's ex-wife.

What do you gather from this?

I supported my husband while he went to law school. Then, I gave up my career to stay home with our special needs child. I've been there for him to attend business events and support him with his social and networking responsibilities. I have no job skills other than mom and special skills related to the care of my child. We just moved to a new city where I know no one. After 11 yrs of marriage, he wants to leave me. What am I entitled to in a divorce situation. I don't want to move my son from his new school or home. I am alone and don't know where to begin to prepare for what is coming! Any suggestions?

it has changed to the middle of the month the last couple of months...she has also had a yeast infection and a urinary infection.

I married my first wife 15 years ago, but we have been separated and legally divorced for the last 5 years. We have two children, who are now 14 and 9. For the last 3 years I have been dating another woman and we had a baby 2 months ago. She is mad at me because I didn't want to marry her, because that meant leaving 4,000 miles away from my two older children. Now my ex wife is begging me to come back because - according to her - she has been unable to make a proper home for our children, she still loves me and my children need me. Now the mother of my newborn is living in the same city as my ex-wife and older children. I dream of having all of them together under the same roof. Both women know that during the last 3 years I have been having sex (on and off) with both of them. I have feelings for both women, but most of all I love my three children dearly and want to be very close to all of them. Am I mad or unrealistic? Would it be inmoral or ilegal? Could that hurt my children?

Do I have the right to know what happened after my ex left me few years ago to go with another woman now that he wants us to make up and get together again? We do love each other so bac but there is still the ghost of this other relationship which he denies. But I know something happened because of all the information that I got at the time. I told him to be open and sincere because it seems I can not move on if all the truth does not come up. If only he admitted but I found her picture at home at the time and I still can not stand the pain. I know he only loves me, it was just an affair, but to me, when we are honest and sincere, makes it easier to keep on going. It is like a wound, we need to spread some medication to heal. I could not live my whole life always wondering what really happened. Thanks and no jokes please. This is a serious question.
