People don't feel the urge to cheat, they are tempted to cheat.
The people that have self control and that respect their partners are the one's that won't. The people that are selfish and egotistical are the one's that will.

I think sometimes people cheat because they are getting what they want out of their relationship. So they look for it else where when they should talk to there partner. This is not always the case but I hope this helps.

Well I have never been faithful so I can answer this quit well. People do not cheat to hurt someone always they just do it because it sets a boundary. When your falling for someone and you cheat you can't give them 100 percent. therefore if the relationship fails you won't feel so broken or lost.
When people don't cheat and the relationship falls apart they are left with feeling as if they've lost.
Therefore, it's all about keeping your sanity. It's like protection. Yeah its wrong but when your young and dumb that's just how it is.

Thats because they put themselves in situations for it to happen. They may be alone with another chick or dude...Or whatever they seem to not be getting from the partner with whom their with they feel they can get it from somewhere else. Instead of being a true person and just letting that person know your desires and wants and let them do what they can. Those kind of people are selfish...

It could be many things i guess. Maybe the guy/girl is wayy to of a jelous type and that drives the person away from the relationship. Maybe the person gets tired of being with just one certain person and doesnt like commitment and goes out and looks for someone else. There are so many reasons i guess, just depends on the situation.

Human beings are not meant to be monogamous, unfortunately. It is in our genes to want to reproduce with as many and varied people as we can. That is the way of nature, it ensures our success as a species with the variations.
However, not everybody ACTS on these urges and not even everybody has these urges. There are plenty of exceptions.

The missing thing people mentioned above is usually a secret sexual desire your partner has but is afraid to try with you. You are the one he doesn't want to lose. He would feel free to act his desire out with another woman without any fear of losing her. For some men, it's very hard to open up with their chosen partner. To satisfy his needs, you might try being a little exploratory sex with him yourself. It might make him feel at ease in the bedroom.

I think it isn't about the cheating - but more about their character in general. People that will hurt someone, cheat, lie are people with no integrity and that theme is woven throughout their life - not just in their love relationship.

If there is something lacking in the relationship. It could be communication, sex, the little things...who knows, but usually it is because the person who feels like cheating also feels like there is something lacking in their current relationship.
