Someone famous once said "you can only have one good friend, the rest of the people in your life are only acquaintances" I don't know if this is true. Another said "If you had two good friends, they would gossip to you, about each other" So I guess one good friend is all anyone could handle.
I've had several good friends that have been loyal and honorable to me for years now. I've seen men give up their lives on the field of battle for men they don't know.
I guess if one person stays by your side all the time he, or she, could be called a "friend" whether you could "trust: that they were loyal and true, I don't know. Judge not, lest ye be judged, Is what you should live by. Instead of looking for that loyalty from a friend, why don't you look at yourself and ask yourself how loyal you are. If you have to ask if that person is loyal, maybe you should look elsewhere. Good luck, my friend.

i feel that there is no good friend and bad friend in friendship.if the person doesn't talk to u heartfully,then u can't feel his friendship and automatically he is not ur friend.if there is no transparency between feelings,matters of two persons..(whom u feel as a friend)then there is no friendship or simply one can say that ur not friends anymore...ur friend(as per u)is not a good friend.if ur friend is selfish,hides things from u,misunderstands u often,gets angry upon u easily,then ur friend is not a good friend.but as i told previously,good friends and bad friends are not types of friends.there are only friends..not good or bad.IF U DOUBT LOYALTY OF UR FRIEND,FIRST CHECK UR SELF..MAY BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH U...

Tell the friend something that noone else knows (made up) and see if it gets around.

if they dont treat you equally to how you treat them or if you have any doubt then they probably aint that good of a friend but it all depends on what is goin on

how is the air around you two,ask someone if you dont know.how do you feel around this person.whatever you do dont give them any tests,sure backfire.
