When we got married, I was still going to church, but had some doubts. Over the course of the next 5-6 years, after a lot of soul searching I realized that religion just didn't make sense to me and that I no longer believed in God. I shared with my wife about every step of my journey, even though I could see that it upset her that I no longer believe.

Now we've been married 11 years and it still bothers her a great deal. She still cries about it. It causes a lot of friction between us. But I can't pretend to believe something I don't, and even if I could I respect her too much to lie about it.

I'm not interested in re-finding my faith, so don't suggest that, but what can we do to accept that we don't have the same spiritual beliefs anymore without it driving a wedge between us?

Is it normal for people who cheat and leave their spouses for the other person to have messed up priorities? My ex hardly spends any time with our son now. He has visitation rights but does not even make it through his weekend with our son! He says he misses him and wants to spend more time with him but does not back up his words with actions. He is so caught up in his new life with this other woman that he seems to be forgetting the fact that he has a child! Is this normal?

I'll try to make a long story short....
My husband and I have only been married about 6 months..and we both have kids from previous marriages...my ex and I get along great...for the kids....his ex is a raging B****! I have tried to make things go as smoothly as possible, but she refuses to work with us...even though it will benifit all of the kids...I know the best way to deal with this to live a happy life, and to give her no thought..but she constantly bad mouths us to friends and family, the kids included..I know it's importiant to be the better person..but one can only take so much! What I need from you all, is a nice little message to send to her!! I've thought about a nice family pitcure of us with all the kids fed-ex'd to her home..but still seems to nice! So if you have any ideas...please no just be the better person...I'm all ears...nothing too illegal please...lol
thanks...

We already have some cheating history between us which was supposed to be just that - HISTORY. Then about 2 weeks ago I hear a voicemail from the hoe he cheated on me with saying "Let me know if you want me to meet you...". He and she have proclaimed that her calling was a one time thing, that there was no on-going anything. That she was visiting the city where we live now on business and she wanted to call him to say hi as a friend (BIATCH). He says he knew nothing about this and was never going to go meet the tramp. But I don't believe him; she has lied for him before. I told him the only thing I would accept as proof would be the phone bill for the last few months so I can see if he has been calling her. He says he can't do that because it's a company phone. He is friends with the bookkeeper, it's a small office, and I know he could make up something if he really wanted to prove his innocence, but he says it isn't possible. He refuses to leave cause of his daughters.

I turn 24 today. I am in law school and have a good job at a firm. I'll be finished with school in a year. I have an amazing boyfriend, but we've only been together for a few months. I've traveled all over and feel pretty grounded. I've never wanted a kids before, but lately I've kind of been thinking about having kids, but I don't want it to end my fun life! Help!

my boyfriend, who has a hard time communicating his feelings, approached me recently and asked my thoughts on marriage. i would like to in the future, but he has clearly stated he does not believe in marriage, that he shouldn't have to get married to commit to someone. He has been engaged in the past, but been hurt in these relationships. i don't know if his unwillingness to get married is due to past problems, or if he is testing me to see if i will still commit to him regardless of his beliefs. he brings up marriage subtly now and then, in little ways i happen to notice. I can accept if he doesn't want to get married, but i can't help but to wonder if perhaps he has other intentions in the future, and is testing me? please help, i would really appreciate someone's opinions, thank you!

During the time we have dated he we have been off and on because of him breaking up with me off and on and his off and on drug problem. He is foreign and was out of the country for a month visiting family. We were broke up before he left but he begged to see me and we spent the last 3 days he was here together and he called me when he was out of town.He said things would change but the last conversation we had didn't go well and I am just tired of all the things he's put me through.I have deep feelings for him but I need to get out of this and he is coming back today.I haven't heard from him since our last conversation because the phone disconnected but if he calls how should I handle this? How should I end it?If I see him agin all the feelings will just come back but i need to talk to him in person.I have also met someone.

A man returns from the doctor and tells his wife that the doctor has told him he has only 24 hours to live. Given this prognosis, the man asks his wife for sex. Naturally, she agrees, and they make love.

About six hours later, the husband goes to his wife and says, "Honey, you know I now have only 18 hours to live. Could we please do it one more time?".

Of course, the wife agrees, and they do it again.

Later, as the man gets into bed, he looks at his watch and realizes that he now has only 8 hours left. He touches his wife shoulder, and asks, "Honey, please... just one more time before I die.".

She says, "Of course, Dear.". They make love for the third time.

After this session, the wife rolls over and falls asleep The man, however, worried about his impending death, tosses and turns, until he’s down to 4 more hours. He taps his wife, who rouses. "Honey, I have only 4 more hours. Do you think we could..."

At this point the wife sits up and says, "Listen, I have to get up in the morning. You don’t!".

I am 24 years old. I have no boyfriend (well not yet at least) but I really want to get married and start a family of my own. I went to college and got my bachelors degree in business and landed a pretty good job. I'm not the type who likes partying all the time. I just want to settle down now. If I am too young to be thinking about marriage what else can I accomplish in my life??

I've known my husband since I was 12 years old. At 16 we had a son together. At 19 we got married. He joined the Army, went to Iraq and is now finished with his service. We've been married for 4 years. When we were teenagers he use to do drugs (pot, pills, acid, coke). He cleaned up in the Army, but went right back to drugs once he got out. He was using coke daily for 5 months, which put us nearly 5 months behind in our bills! We had to move in with his parents and that's not going well. I put him thru rehab and thought he was clean for the last three months. He still hangs out with the people he uses with even though I've asked him not to. Last Friday we both got paid. I paid the bills and asked him for half the money. It's only Tuesday and he has no money, no gas and no cigarettes. He wont tell me where the money went, but I could guess. I'm so tired of this. I hate how he acts on drugs and how we're always broke. Should I try to work thru this or end a 12 year relationship?
