Go to your local church and ask for help. Don't feel bad doing this, you do want to provide for your kids. Most churches would not hesitate to provide you with either gift certificates or gather toys from fellow church goers. We had a church one year, give us a $200.00 gift certificate to Wal-Mart, and I felt like the community cared, and they asked for nothing in return, and they didn't make me feel like I was a bad parent. Or you can go to a Dollar store and get them their Christmas, kids don't really care. Or ask your family for help, I am sure they will understand. Good luck sweetie! :)

Asking for help is not saying that you cant give the child the things they want or need. Sometimes help from others is a good thing. Having 4 kids is hard if you are doing it on your own. Sometimes giving the little gifts are better than giving alot. Find the few things that your kids want and focus on getting those (as long as they are not alot of money). I have 4 kids also and there have been a couple of times that they only got 3 gifts each and they were fine with that because they know it is not all about getting. Maybe you should let them volenteer at a food pantry serving dinner. Let them see that christmas is about giving to others and gifts are not always important( if they are old enough)

There is no shame in asking for help if you truly need it. Christmas has become too commercialized anyways. Let your kids know there isn't a lot of money this year. If they're younger children, shop at the Dollar Stores. There are lots of things there for the younger kids, they don't know about the "price" of things. I'm sure it will all work out fine for you. Let the kids know that their health and that being together is more important than material things anyways.

people probably are not going to help you on here just because they dont know if you are telling the truth..i am not saying that you arent but......the best thing for you to do is contact the salvation army and they can help you...there is something that they do called the wish tree....i know that walmart does this and some banks...you can put what your children want on the tree and people will buy it for them...i pick two kids off the tree every year so that my children can buy for the kids...my mom does the same.another thing that you can do is contact toys for tots...there are ways to make sure that you children can have a merry xmas but this is not the site to do it..good luck to you and your children and i hope that things get better for you..hang in there and god bless.
