Family - December 2007

We have lived here for over 2 years and two women moved in below 1 month ago. They have no furniture and smoke away from there apartment not on there porch like away from the apartment. Well a couple of days ago we are getting an odd smell in our bathroom. I can't describe the smell. I have never smelt anything like it before. It becomes very strong when they start to run there bathroom fan and gets much weaker when it is off. I am worried it is some kind of drug. I have three children 2 young twins under 4 months. Any ideas??

I'm 14 and I have a boyfriend and we kissed on Friday. She was ok with that but she doesn't like that I'm shutting her out of my life! I talk on the phone all the time with my bff and I lock my door. She told me I could shut my door but not lock it, then she changed it to it had to be open all the time! The only door I'm alowed to lock and close is the bathroom! Then she noticed I was sneakeing on the phone on there and I was spending all of my time in there so then I could only close the door when I'm actually going to the barhroom! Now even when I'm peeing it has to be open! I'm a teenager and I need privacy! My mom thinks I hate her and she told me she was going to kill her self because I hate her! But I really love her I just want to be able to lock my door! I need privacy! What do I do?

My sister and I are 2 yrs apart. When I was 15 my sister was always arguing with my parents that they were too strict and said to me that she hate them doesn't want to speak to them, even if she want to ask them for money. From then she kept asking me for money from my weekly allowance and I barely had any money for myself. I even starve myself oftenly to give her money. I gave her money not because I want to, but because I love her and don't want her to starve. I told her to stop but she wouldn't. I told my parents and begged them to tell my sister to stop but they wouldn't. I was very mad at them. That problem continued until I left for college. I went away for college just to get away from them. Last week I graduated from college. Now I move away from home. My family asked me to move back home, but I said no. I think back and still don't understand why my parents didn't do their job and told my sister to stop demanding me for money. I really want to know why. What can I do?

I m 21years old I love my boyfriend. We are planning to get married my dad told me if I give up having him pay for a wedding reception , He will pay for a small wedding andmy brand new car I got (I could afford that if I needed to). I thought sure I will pay for the wedding reception and he can pay my car off. Today my fiancee and i brought that up. I said all you have to pay is the car and a wedding dress, I said you don't have to pay for the church or preacher or anything. He said no if he paid for the car that no one else could help me pay for a wedding if someoone helped then no car. he started yelling at my fiancee because his job just cut his hours but he got transfered so he is back at 40hrs. My dad started saying he was no good he was worthless, he plans to be a pilot and he is joining the air force. He is starting a great career and Im wanting to go to college to be a teacher. Anyway he chased my fiancee out the door and swung at him. My boyfriend did not swing.

I've wanted a Nintendo DS Lite since I was 13 (I'm almost 15 now). I kept asking my parents for it every year for Christmas, but I never got one. Then, this year, my 10 year old brother (let's call him Danny) got one. He freaked out when he got it and bragged. When I asked if I could see it, he just said no. And he knows that I've wanted one for two years. I got a camcorder that doesn't even work, and I might not be able to return it. Is this fair? And if I could return it, would it be rude to ask my parents for a Nintendo DS Lite instead (they are the same price)? Thanks to everyone who answers! :) ♥

My husband ben was married before and has a 7 yr old son with his exwife.The problem is his exwife hates me and is very jealous of me. So his exwife is allways getting gifts for my husband that makes "diggs" at me and reminds him how inportant she is for giving him a child.For example for x-mas she gave him a very nice frame with a 8x10 pic of her,my husband and thier son that said "our family" or for my husbands b-day she gave him a nice dish that had poem about thier son and how he was made in love. If she just wanted to have thier son give a gift why not have him make one? Why does she do this and what should i do?

Well my parents got divorced when I was 4 and ever since last summer I switched homes every 2 weeks. My dad is a jerk. He is always making me sad (telling me what I do or look like is bad, comparing me and trying to make me change) and make me feel useless (there's no room for my opinion or for what i want to do). When I'm with him every other weekend now he is still being a jerk to me and I can't stand it. Is it just me, or should I be able to live how I want, I am 16 years old, and I don't want to see him! He makes me so sad and mad and hopeless! I want to be with my mom! He is so stubborn, he thinks everything is okay! Can I refuse and not go with him tomorrow? Could I get in trouble? I told him i wanted to go shopping and he said no because "that's what girls do" and I feel horrible why does he even want me I feel hated absolutely HATED

She got mad with me because of an issue we dicusses several times already. She jumped on me one day and fought me. After the fight she wanted to know how did we get to that stage in our frienship, llike nothing happened. Then she said she intentionally fought me to see what I would do. She had a very bad pass with her father. He beat her and dated her aunt and left them hungry one time when she was little. She criticise my walk, don't likeme asking certain questions and just fuss and make me feel bad. She kept saying I reminded her of him and every time she sees me she gets mad as a result of the fight. The main thing is she started the fight and I only try to protect my self. She said I direspested her house by fighting her in her house. I told her I had the right to defend my self. She said she was going to kill me as she choked me and she said for me to go to hell and wanted to throw the cross I gave her to the dog. She looke dlike she wa demonic that day wild.

My son was involved in an incident yesteday where he and another boy were breaking off wood pieces from a condemned neighborhood park play structure(it is being repaired) While he should not have been doing that, and we did deal with that issue, I feel the lady that caught them went way overboard. She was yelling and screaming at them and the other boys mother. She demanded my son come with her into her home(I don't know this lady). She questioned him about his dad and what he did for a living, before having him call us. She told my husband on the phone that the boys "destroyed the playground." She also said it was either call us or the cops. She threatened the cops to my son and his friend. My son was terrified and I know for a fact he was not disrespectful to her at all. I spoke with her after the incident, and while I appreciate her stopping them, I told her that I did not like the fact that she was threatening and screaming at the boys.

Okay, here's the deal. My husband is 63 and I am 43. I have 3 children ages 21, 19, and 14. His children are 36 and 33 and are Jewish. I mean they claim to be very Jewish. My family is very christian. My husband is Christian also. His ex wife and her husband are Jewish. When we visit with them ( his son just got married to a Catholic) but insisted on a very jJewish ceremony. When they visiited us last spring, they stayed with us and were offended by the cross ihad hanging in our home and my cross jewerly that I wore. They would not attend chruch with us because they said that would be hypocritical. I did not expect them to go and was not offended. I completely understood.. So last Christmas I sent them both Hannaacha cards and good wishes. But they werer livid that we did not send them a Christmas giift. My husb and said that I was selfish and just wanted to spend more money on my own family.I don't know, call me crazy, but I thought that Jews did not believe in j Christ

I am a mother of 4 from age 22 to 10. I made sure Christmas was amazing for them--looking till I found the perfect gifts, etc--
Plus getting special gifts for my husband. I had NOTHING to open this morning! I had my heart set on a least 0ne special gift under the tree--but nothing. He didn't even take the ten year old to get me a card! My oldest 2 are on their own and struggling and i know they could't afford anything--but I have a 18 year old step=daughter that makes about $400 a week ( and lives at home) we are not struggling money wise--Hubby could have afforded something! Am I wrong to let this get to me??Just feel so UNSPECIAL!! Thanks for letting me get this off my chest--

When she is drunk? I know everything about her disease so i don't need advice about that. Ive been going through this for years and still don't know how to react when she is drunk. I hate saying this but she is hopeless in getting better. She has even been in the klink two times in the past two years. Served a hard 3-4 months. And has been in treatment too many times to count and some other halfway house thing and still no luck. Anway im 16 so i have to spend two more years here until i am outta here. What ami supposed to do for two more years! Its practically tearing me apart and my home isnt a home anymore its HELLL! would appreciate alot of answers! thank you

I just found out today My dad has porn on his computer. Now I would always think my dad would never look at stuff like that, but he has so much of it. He would also grap my upper theigh and " tickle it" put his hand around it and I hate that, but he's been doing that for a long time. Should I tell my mom or dad? :(

"Embarassing Dad" Moments at Christmas?
So this Christmas my family had about 10 or so people over for Christmas "dinner" (okay, our "dinner" was at like 2:00 but whatever). Everyone there was either family or VERY close family friends.

Anyway my dad became adament on singing Christmas carols (I come from a very musical family; my dad and my uncle are in a jazz/blues band, and two of the other Christmas dinner guests are in the band with them). He brought up the keyboard and bells and a harmonica and everything... and started singing "we wish you a merry christmas" really loudly, while smiling really goofily and tapping his foot extra loudly ...it was so embarassing!

no one actually wanted to sing christmas carols, we all sort of gave each other an "oh god what's he doing now" look, and refrained from singing at first, but eventually we sang along anyway.

At dinner at my grandparent's house last night (my mother in law was invited) I let it slip that I didn't want anyone at the hospital when I go into labor, and my husband and I would be calling people after the baby is born. Dorothy, my husbands mom, started arguing with me about it. She said that it's her grandchild and she'll be there if she wants to be. When I objected, she told my husband to call her after I've been given pain medication and she'll show up whether I want her to or not. I think that since it's my labor, I should be able to be as comfortable as possible. I can't do tht with my whole family hovering over me during contractions. I want my husband there with me and that's it. How do I get her to listen and respect my decision? I have a feeling that if I let her have her way on this instead of doing what I want, she'll try to take over when the baby's born. She lives 10 minutes away and I don't want to see her in our house every day while we try to get to know our child.

My dad's mom, Mom-mom, is too overpowering. At the X-mas dinner last night, I got up, excused myself, and left the room. B/cs I'm having my period, I called my mom on my cell and asked her about what to do w/cramps. As I was talking, my grandma comes out and says, "Who's that?" "My mom."
