In California, if a person is on SSI (like your mom), then she might be eligible to have someone to take care of her and you might be able to be paid. Check with your county welfare department, whatever they call it.

Call United Way (211 is the #) they can steer you in the right direction for the info. Or assoc for the aging in your area
