I got married to my husband soon after she was born.My daughters father wanted me to abort her.So I thought he might always resent her.Amongst other personal issues that I didn't think would be fair to raise her around.But now she is almost 7 and I want to tell her the truth in a very gentle way.But I have no idea how to find him.All I know is the last address he ever sent her money from.Does anyone know how I can find him?I don't have much money.So I can hire a pi or anything.

Why on earth do you want to bring someone into your daughter's life who has never bothered to stay in contact?
Only thing i can thnk of is you must like drama? If not, then dont' try to contact him.
You can tell your daughter about him, and if she wants to find him someday when she's older, then it would be her option.
You can also let her know that he's not been in touch, and it's not her fault... there are books written for kids on this subject. Try Barnes & Noble or the library.

Try www.whitepages.com they have a people search by address and also tracks by phone and SSN . I hope you do well and don't be disappointed if your daughter doesn't care just be completely truthful and honest when she asks . Whitepages searches start at about 30.00 if I remember correctly .

you can do a people search on the Net for as little as 40 bucks. Its a start. My niece doesnt have a dad, and shes pushing six. i understand what you are saying. Its so sad for little ones not to have a daddy!
