Family - August 2007

As many of you recall, I am babying my step-daughter as a punishment. Well I told my sister. She got the idea to do the same thing.

My niece, Layla, is a partier, even though she's 14. Her cerfew is 11:00 PM. She can't have her boyfriend over unless an adult or one of her older sisters is home.

Well the other night my sister and brother-in-law went to my brother-in-law's brother's cocktail party. My other three nieces, Courtney, Danielle and Kate, went out for the evening. Layla went out with her boyfriend and he came back to my sister's house.

To make a long story short, my sister and her hubbie came home early from the party and found Layla and her boyfriend, lights out, candles lit, strawberries and cream, shirts up, making out.

At first my sister just grounded her and was looking for a more suitable punishment. Well I guess I gave her the idea.

my father borrowed $300 from my husband to pay for a car. it recently broke down and my parents sold it for scrap. my husband is very upset because it has been several months since they borrowed the money and they haven't even attempted to pay any of it back and now they have sold the car without even telling him. i understand why he is upset but, how do i keep from being caught in the middle about this and how do i tell my family without sounded like a witch?

As it now arises that the police think madeline could possibly have been killed in her room and by "accident" does anyone else think the dad could have something to do with this?My husband said he was guilty from day one and I didn't agree but as the case progresses it does seem a possibility. If they were checking every 1/2 hr it would take longer than that to kill someone in a room, clean up evidence and dispose of body. At this late stage I just pray that a childless couple took her and she is being loved and cared for by them , the alternative isnt worth thinking about.

i cant tell anyone... i feel so trapped inside like i am alone..
see, im the only child and my parents divorced and i live with my dad now and i havent talk to my mother ever since i was little. my dad sometimes get "stressed out" and goes off on me. he drinks everyday and he beats me almost everyday. i cant stand it anymore. i need to tell someone but i feel like so hurt to tell anyone... he repeated always that if i tell someone that he beats me he is going to track me down somehow and get me killed... I JUST CANT STAND THE BEATING ANYMORE!!! i pray everyday for something to stop him but nothing ever happened yet. what should i do??? i need to do something soon because i cant take it anymore.. i feel like suicide is the second choice.. please anwser soon and thank you in advance.

My cousins don't talk to me much because they both have bf's. I always joke around and talk about fun stuff but they don't respond online or anything. And when I go look at their log it always says they posted on their bf's profile. The bf's talk about stupid **** like "you are the coolest person ever I wish I can be just like you." "your the meany why don't you stop being mean." On aim all they say to me is "lol" and never try to start a conversation. I find this stupid because I'm family and I make sense but the bf's are so stupid saying meaningless things.

My stepson is 13 & lives with us. When he was 11 his mother phoned us out of the blue after denying us contact for 7 years to tell us she no longer wanted him (She alsomade this clear to him) We jumped at the chance & have spent 2 very difficult years helping him to settle in. She hasn't seen him since Oct 2 years ago when she had him for 2 days & let him down that Christmas after promising him he could stay with her the week. She also promised him PS2 etc but it never materialised. She doesn't send him Birthday cards or Christmas Cards & her phone calls to him are sporadic. She won't call for months then we'll have a spate of her calling almost everyday during which she makes him feel guilty about everything. Afterwards he is withdrawn, quiet & distressed. We've told him if he doesn't want to talk to her he doesn't have to but she seems to have some hold over him & seems scared of upsetting her. so there i was sleeping peacefully when all of a sudden i wake to these horrid loud screams.i was like what the hell,,and it was my sister that kept screaming and crying, i think it was becus she had nightmares or something.sometimes she even talks in her sleep cus when i went in her room i heard her talking and it kinnda freaked me out cus then she'd start screaming again.my piont is,is that shes been doing this for many many nights actually many months and is there a problem with her or something.

Just a quick question. I have a younger sister (she is 16) that comes over to my apartment a lot (im 23) and i own a lot of dvds and she saw American History X (one of my favorites) and wants to watch it tomorrow. Well last night I was in my room and I was mad at my mom and her boyfriend, so I said some really nasty and mean stuff about them. I later found out that they were listening outside the door and heard every word...I cried my eyes out and I apolygized a billion times..They said they were okay, but a little hurt...I feel so wrong, how can I overcome someting like this...I feel so regretful... My 18 year old has been dating this little TART - Sorry u will c y I say that, Everytime he does not do what she wants she ends the relationship, and then my son tries to cut his wrists or stab himself.

She will ask him 2 go 2 her and when he says he is studying 4 his finals - she tells him to F OFF and that she wishes he was dead.

me and my fiancee have been together for more than 7 years(on off).so,she knows me really well.both of us comes from different family background.my parents divorce when i was 13,and i live by myself in L.A.her family is really rich,big family,and strict.
The problem is my fiancee's dad often controllin her.like,if i ask her to go with me to friend's party,her dad didnt allow her to go.he treats her like a daddy lil girl!although the whole big family already know me.because we're goin to wed in the next 2 month.and i've got a problem with her family,her damily act like they like me so much when my fiancee is with me,but when she is not,they treat me like a crap.and last nit i had a big fight me my fiancee,about her dad problem who didnt allow her to go with me.then i told her how did her family treat mw when she's not here.i didnt mean to make her upset to her fam.i just can't keep it too much.because they're so fake on me!do ya think i should apologize?any advice is needed

My brother got married this year to a girl who had lived with us for 3 years. Now she acts weird around my intire family and none of us really like her. Things were ok because we knew he could always get a divorce and it would be ok cause he was still young (21). But know that she's pregnant we know he won't leave her because he is serious about the whole family thing. But what I'm most scared of is that the baby will be a serious premie because she weighs only 96 pounds, rarely eats and when she does it's fast food. She has already lost a baby and I don't think my brother could handle it again. Should I confront my brother?

I am actually just 17and am in a very bad place when it comes to parents being in my life and doing what they need to do for me. I have heart problems and vision problems that arent even taken care of because it seems to me that neither of my parents care.Im never home and i stay with my boyfriend at his house. His family loves and takes care of me and have been for so far a half of year. I want to know so that my boyfriends family can sign legal papers for me and enroll me in school and everything because my parents have not stepped up. They never will. I live with my boyfriend and my boyfriends single parent father even told me that this isn't right and he has taken me in and he wishes he could do all these things for me especially with the medical condition. something might have happened to me when I was little. I am 13 years old. Let me start from the beginning:

A few years ago, maybe 3 years, my mom (don't know about my dad, don't remember) and my oldest bro were acting very worried because they had found blood in my 4 year old sister's panties. (I didn't know at the time that it could have been from a rape, so i didn't even think about it back then.)

I was thinking about it today, and I realized all of a sudden why they were so worried. Then I remembered that some lady (i think from child protective services) had come to our house and had asked me if I had ever been touched in a way that made me uncomfortable.

I said no, because I hadn't, but what if I HAD and just couldn't remember cuz it happened to me when I was so young? And another thing is, I noticed that ever since that day, my dad never bathed my sister anymore, and I had to do it instead. Do you think that they suspected him or raping her or something?

this is not something that i can talk to my parents about because we are not close at ALL. what should i do? i think that if i got raped, i should know, shouldn't i? but wat if they are afraid to tell me? and wat if they never tell my sis?

This morning I woke up to the sound of my father's voice saying "Don't hit me again" to his girlfriend. About five minutes later I saw her slapping him. She kept on slapping him. My father kept trying to defend himself but, finally, after a couple of minutes he slapped her back. My dad's girlfriend immediatley burst into tears screaming "How could you hit me?". She constantly has fits of anger and hits my dad. She is around 30 years of age and does not have a drivers license. She depends on my dad to take her everywere. If my dad is late picking her up or refuses to take her someone he gets hit. I love my father too much to see him get abused. Should I confront my dad's girlfriend about this. I was talking to my friend on IM and having a great time when my mom called me downstairs and told me to take my brother to the pool for 30 minutes. I didn't want to because I was having a good time, I wanted to relax, and who goes swimming for only 30 minutes? Plus, she said that I could play computer after while she took my brother to a place I like (at first she said it was a secret but it slipped out later). Well, after that, I got mad and said, "No! N-O!"
They just left the house now to go there (didn't go swimming), and I called my mom's phone because i just felt the need to. My brother picked up and I said, "I wanna go!" while tears silently streamed down my face, and he told me, "But it's only for mom and me." (not in a mean way) And my mom took the phone and said, "Just play computer while we go, ok?" and she sounded so kind, and I felt guilty because I was so stubborn and all. I also cried because I was missing out on something fun.

ok, i live in pennsylvania with my aunt and my mom, 2 little sisters, step dad, and step brother live in virginia.....Well when ever they come up to visit my little sister (seneca) always bugs me 2 the point where i yell at her, no matter what its always me who gets in trouble because my mom always takes her side! Seneca doesn't just do it to me....she does it to Sammi (my other sis), Cody (my step brother), and our older cousins (caleb and alec) but she never gets in trouble....its always one of us....my mom is the only one who's in "denial" about the way my sister acts while everyone else already knows. the worst part is i was supposed 2 go to virginia this week to stay with my mom but seneca came up 4 the weekend and got me in trouble so i couldn't go! Is there anyway for me to make my mom realize that its Seneca who starts all the sh*t and not us!?

My dad keeps asking me if he could get married with his gf
and i always say i dont know
and tonight it hit me
he asked again
and i said i dont know
and then i said well u have to ask katie [his gf's duaghter/my bff] and he said well they spend most of there time here
and i said wait would they move in
and he said why do u want ur own room
and i said yes and he said well u might have to share the bathroom
and then it hit me
i want him to be happy i like his gf and all but i don't want them moving in
and then i had a picture in my mind of moving boxes in my house
and i wouldnt like that
i'm only 12 and i don't want my dad marrying again
and having there family move in
i already had to move here from singapore and loose my mom and only see a 1 a year
