I remember when my little sister was about 7 years old. My dad had just received a phone call from a telemarketer. He got off the phone and said "Darn those telemarketers!" My sister inquired what telemarketers were. My dad told her that they were people who generally tried to give you something that you didn't want.

"If you answer the phone and don't hear anybody speak for about 2 minutes then just hang up."
"OK Daddy" my sister said.
Later that day, I was sitting on the couch reading when the phone rang. My sister said "I'll get it." She answered the phone and said "Hello?" She must have noticed the pause and looked over an whispered "I think its a telmarter." And she waited. Well you know how they generally come on and say "Hello may I please speak with __________." Well this telemarketer said (she told me afterwards) "May I please speak with Adam?" All of a sudden I hear her say "Well Hell, you don't need MY permission!" and she hung up! It was classic! U have any?

my mom will be visiting my aunt in texas in july. she asked me to buy the ticket for her and she would repay me. being that my mom is not working and on permanant disabillity i thought i would ask my 3 brothers and my sister for all of us to pitch in $80 for the ticket, since the total is $400. my brothers were fine with it and happy to do it. however my b i t c h a s s sister was like "why"? "she has money" i am so upset because my mom watches her son for her and she is so ungreatful. the question is how do i tell my mom that she didn't pitch in without hurting her feelings. i dont want her giving her credit for this too when she didnt contribute to it!

Dear Unknown Friend,
I, too, suffered this same kind of treatment from my Daughter-in-law. I want to tell you that the grief (and it is grief) that you are suffering from is almost unbearable.

Please don't feel alone. It has taken me 14 years to get over the feeling of just wanting to die. The young women of today are not like we were. They are rude, agressive, have zero tolerance of anyone else, will use you until you're used up and then toss you out when they're through.

God help the children they raise. There is no place for you to post your real feelings. I wish there was. We, as Mothers, have feelings too. We want to be treated like humans, that's all.

I had to completely back out of her life. Her cruel remarks to me were uncalled for and hurt me to the core. If you are a Mother-in-law, you come with a sign around your neck saying: "kick me; I can't retaliate". The Daughters-in-law are so jealous of the son's love for his Mother that they have to get rid of you.

My mom thinks its ok to pressure me and forcefully push me to do better. I know that Nursing is very competitive, but is it alright if every time i get a C she downtalks me so much. Before the spring term, I was confident (my boyfriend supports me too) that I was going to pass microbiology. She had the nerve to say "are you sure about that?" Like she freakin doubts me!!! I know i've had low grades to prove it, but she's my mom, shouldn't she be a little more helpful than doubt her own daughter? I know one thing is for sure, I WILL NEVER DOUBT MY KIDS. Unlike her ***, I'll always be supporting them in every right thing they do. If they do wrong, I'll talk to them, not yell. But tell me, what do you think?

Ive had to move back into my mums home, for fiancial, and other reasons. the problems,my brother ( who does not live there) is violent towards me, last year he come into the house ( he has the key) and into my bedroom ( without knocking) grabbed my the throat and the hair, shook me around, punched me and smashed my phone up, when i tried to grab it,

All that was because i had an argument with him over the phone the night before?

I am civil towards him, but deep down I just hate him, he has always been a violent bully.

Further to my question regarding my partner's dad I received the following - Being gay is a sin (Genesis 19:1-24; Leviticus 18:22; 20:13; Psalm 5:5) , so both Nick and you sin, and Nick knows his dad doesn't like him being gay, so acting agaisnt his dad is sin not honoring parents and is sin. (Exodus 20:12) If you don't repent, you'll end up in hell (Revelation 20:11-15).

I'm 14.I go out on Saturdays and Sundays to the park from hours 1-7 p.m. to play basketball and hang out with friends. Now a month ago my mom would be begging on her knees to get me to go out. And now when I do, she doesn't let me. The park is a 5 minute walk from my house. The people I hang out with are decent people and their ages are 14-20. We look out for one another but my mom couldn't care less.I've never had really good friends. Now that I've finally found them I can't be with them.
I sometimes go on school days after I do my homework for 2 hours or half an hour. It relaxes me and makes me happy. But, my mom's worried that on the way back I'll be kidnapped or raped. I don't know how to convince her to let me spend time with my friends.

The ceremony will be in the UK but his dad lives in Nigeria. Should Nick just keep quiet about it all and allow his dad to be ignorant of the relationship that Nick and I have?

Sir

My paternal grand mother made a will of self acquired immovable property in 1987 just before her death to her 3 children(male) , of which my father( suresh) is one of the beneficiary.none to her only daughter(rajamma) who is a divorcee at that time.but "she can look after the property till her death, then after all the beneficiary can take their share as shown in the will".

Now, My father(suresh) died in 1993 and rajamma died in 2004... now we the children are eligible for our father's share of the property... since we don't have healthy relationship with other beneficiaries, we want to know ....

this situation involves my daughter, myself (grandmother) and the father. my daughter and I lives in texas, but the father lives in OK. last year my daughter just found out through dna that his is the father. the child now is 3 years old.

the father is not allowed around children, but i feel that a parents has a right to see their children. what will i tell my granddaughter if she never meets her father.

the father is on probation (not allowed to be along with children). I know he would have to register in a state where ever he is.

I would very much love the father and my granddaughter to see each other, the father does have to be supervised.

So, we let him stay with us under one condition that he get a job until he leaves for the Army. Everything is great for about a week. He quits his job but doesnt tell us. He leaves in the morning then waits for us to go to work then comes home. Finally, his work calls and asks what the deal is. Well, to make a long story long, we boot him out for free loading. He joined early and leaves for boot camp. Next thing we know he is booted out of boot camp. Well he gets a job at a supercenter until recently when he bailed on that job also. So now its present day. Back in December, the daughters "boy friend" comes out from New York to stay with her and her brother and his girlfriend. This guy is a piece of work boy. Free loads off of them for almost 4 months until they run out of money and now he decides to go back to New York. Tells the daughter that he will come back for her in a week, 2 tops. Well, that was 5 weeks ago. Running out of room again. Part three coming up.

Ok, bare with me folks. Kind of long. I met my wife in 1998, she has 2 kids, one was 12 the other 13. They lived with their dad and my wife paid child support. She gave up the option of having them with her for them to hopefully have a better life. Their dad lived in an upscale small town and she lived in a crime infested city. Well, the father played on the kids emotions telling them their mom gave them up because she didnt want them. His parents also played the game. SO my wife has had to put up with the heart breaking burden of giving everything, them taking and leaving her holding the pot for 20 some odd years. They are super nice to her when they want something then jerks after they get it. Well, in 2003, the boy was going to go into the military. A few months before he left his father booted him out of the house for being disrespectful and not obeying the rules of the house hold(a little bit of reap what you sew). running out of letters, will post as another question
