Why is it that looking at a belt or even handling it, a belt doesn't seem fearsome. I mean, it even seems flexible and all. Not unlike a belt I wear.
But when THE BELT is whacking my backside, I sure feel a terrific sting "back there". True, I survive quite well, but I'm not anxious for a repeat for a few weeks at least!
How can something so flexible hurt so much?

Doesn't my MIL realize my husband and I will be the ones to take care or her and her husband one day? lol You'd think that would be enough for her to at least be genuinely nice to me. She's very nice to my face but behind my back...O lord that woman can be evil! (yes I'm venting!) She has 3 grandchildren (our kids) that would love to be taken to get ice cream or to the mall, park, ect! (We live w/in 2 blocks of one another) She thinks it's a burden she watches them one hour a day until we get home from work! Ok....any magic potion out there I can put in her tea to make this woman behave????

Any tips from you wise women would be appreciated!!!!

Recently my mother in law found a bruise on husbands arm (which happened during sex ) and she asked him if I was beating him. I am insulted that she thinks I would do something like that. Would you be insulted if this happened to you? (by the way, he told her how it happened and she dropped the subject) This is also the woman who thinks Im in love with my ex still. I feel like she is starting trouble...what do you think?

My cousin's husband takes care of his parents. They live about 10 miles away from them. She also helps take care of them.

Her husband has a twin sister. She lives about 2000 miles away in Florida. She does come and visit her parents 3 to 4 times per year. She does not do much to take care of them. She treats it more as a vacation.

Her daughter is graduating from High School next month and she wants her parents to come for the graduation. She wants them to stay for 2 weeks with her in Florida. My cousin's husband will accompany them on the plane journey since the parents are old and need assistance traveling.

My cousin told her husband that if he went and stayed at his sister's house with his parents, she would divorce him and change the locks on the house when he was gone. She says that he never spends time with her. Yet, he has time for his parents.

Wasn't her reaction too strong?

My inlaws live in Florida in the winter and New York in the summer. They are financially well off. They usually come by to visit us in South Carolina on their way home. My daughter's graduation is coming up, and they sent me an email saying they will not be coming. They could have arranged their schedules differently to be here for the graduation in May, but they are leaving the week before. I just feel like they could have made the effort. Any advice?

I have an 8 month old baby boy. My boyfriend is currently listed as my son's father on the birth certificate, but we took a paternity test (I was with one other man during my child's conception), and my boyfriend is not the biological father. However, since we were not a 'couple' when I got pregnant, our current situation has not completely devastated our relationship. He does want my son's biological father to step up financially though. He doesn't mind being listed as the father on his birth certficate, but we will change the paperwork if necessary. How do I go about getting all of this started?

Serious responses only please.
Thank you all.

My grandpa has been treating us grandkids bad over these last years. My cousin, who is only 5, gets really scared around him when he's mad and so do I. What do I do to make this better?

I discussed my personal issues with family members (cousin, aunt and parents). I have stopped recently because I don't want to keep complaining. I have heard that complaining just gets you attention from people.

Does anyone agree?

Also, how much should I listen to my parents and other's advice? I know its my life, but I sometimes give their words too much importance.

I have to be strong and think with my own mind.

Apparently internet predators to minors is her "cause" and she participated in a sting to be aired on America's Most Wanted. She actually posed as a teenage girl to lure the men in to the house where cops were waiting. But she refuses to testify and gives no reason. 11 perverts that she helped capture will go free because her "cause" is apprently not that important to her. Not anybody I'd want my girls to look up to. Just like a women. Commit until it get's inconvieniant then bail.

This is so stupid. I am 27 years old and have been married for 7 years. I have 2 kids and am generally happy in life. About 6 years ago, I got a tattoo on my back (just a small one of a sun) which is very concealable. Then last year I got one on my inner ankle. I am very proud of my tattoos, and they are very meaningful to me....point of the matter is, I'm freaking 27 years old and am fully aware of any consequences that can occur with getting a tattoo. My little sis (age 23) gets one last week on her foot. She broadcasts it all over her myspace page and I guess my dad gets on sees her tat and my little comment underneath it about how we could show Dad our tats together..now my Dad and stepmom are really ticked. I've kept my tats hidden from them the whole time. I really don't care what they think considering I am an adult, but I don't like to fight with them about something that is really none of their business. What do I tell them? I have to face them Sat.

My 18 yr old daughter is constantly telling lies. For instance, I allowed her (then 15) to live with her sister about 15 miles away and attend a different school. Before long, she made new friends but when I invited them to stay over, they all declined as if they were afraid to.
Heres why. She had told them that her step-father had attempted to rape her and that i refused to believe it and i was siding with him. In all fairness, he did make a comment once that was out of line but THATS ALL!
She denies ever saying it.
Then one day her boyfriend called to yell at me about not making sure that she gets her medication after her chemotherapy!?! For what?
Now she is in Tenn. and says she is expecting a child Aug 1. From what she's has said on the phone, ie; Dr. appts, nausia, etc. I believed. Her # has been disconnected. She said she moved in with her b-friends parents. I just learned theirs no baby and she never moved.
There must be a reason. What do I do to stop this?

When I was a teen I made mistakes and they were harsh and cruel. I apologized sincerely, but for 6 months I was punished and though I pleaded for their trust and forgiveness they were extremely cruel and didn't give. Now I'm 23, a biologist, doing well in my life, the girl they wanted. But since my teen years I've been so resentful that I avoid them and haven't seen them for more than 4 years. For 3 months they've kept callng me every day, want to fix our relatioship, say they love me, all that crap. This is getting on my nerves. They are part of a past I want to forget forever, want to delete this bad file. Told them to leave me alone and that I want them out of my life, but they keep insisting.

Ok I am a 22yr old college student trying to become financially independant and when my mom found out how much money I've been spending on this last month(less than 300 bucks) She is calling me a harlot and stuff(even though I don't sleep around!).

I spent around 90 bucks of booze three bottles, one was very pretty. And I bought money on some stupid games. I bought stuff on Amazon including Libido enhancer because my body was running low on hormones.

I don't want to tell her everything and confess what I've been buying. I'm sick of this and she took away my account I let her co-sign to inorder for her to put money in!

Also I don't want her to know that I've been sexually active because I got sick of being naive and being haunted by past traumas that has to do with sexual assault(Don't worry I'm fully healed and stuff). I've only been with one guy the whole entire time.

Help and what to do???

I am unfortunatly one of these parents who lost a child through an accident which could/should of been prevented.

I want to hear from other people who have been through this.

Im tired of being angry and want to learn how to 100% forgive and fully except and mean It. How many years does It take to forgive?

And for the parent who was responsible for their child dying ( through accident) does the guilt last forever?
