Why is it that looking at a belt or even handling it, a belt doesn't seem fearsome. I mean, it even seems flexible and all. Not unlike a belt I wear.
But when THE BELT is whacking my backside, I sure feel a terrific sting "back there". True, I survive quite well, but I'm not anxious for a repeat for a few weeks at least!
How can something so flexible hurt so much?

"Also we paint the experience with our emotions": maybe like in sports we can get hurt a lot more than a spanking does; yet we also "take it" a lot better?

"its pure physics": That might partially be it ... sure was glad to not have to go OTK any longer ... but then I found they can swing the belt faster (with more vigor).
