I was OK with being adopted, but since I've had my son, I noticed that perhaps alot of my self esteem problems, and trust issues come from being abandonned by my birth mother. I am SUPER protective towards my son and always want him to feel safe. I feel bad about sending him to someone's place to sleep over, I don't want him to wake up thinking I have abandonned him. I push myself real hard to let others babysit him once in a while cause I know he has to live a normal life and these kind of things are good for him, but it's real hard. I'd like to get in touch with someone else who might understand my feelings.

i am a mother of three that recently ran into some trouble with "THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES" after a disgruntled neighbor called them on me. I have been a frequent pot smoker for years but have not had to worry about it till now. I do not want to lose my children over smoking pot. please help me find a way to pass my hair test so that i can go back to my life with my children. this is so important to me that i am willing to quit for the secirity of my children. thank you

I have a 5 yr. old and his father has been coming in and out of his life, we divorced when my son was 3 months old and I made all he effort for them to see each other for a while then he decided to move to NY my son was 2 1/2-3 hed call may b once every 6 months to talk to me & then ask about his son & didn't send me any money for child support. He returned to the area last March & took him for one day to his dad's house there are 2 other kids my son's age that live there & he had fun playing with them but didn't really spend much time with his father, since then he has not seen him. Today I called him for $ suddenly he remember his child now he's asking if he can have my son spend the night on Sat. and I told him he should 1st spend some time w/him since he's not so used to him. I used 2 talk 2 my son about his "dad" but stopped I don't want him to get excited over someone who doesn't bother to spend time with him, I've seen it b4, my son rememberes him as some guy now... & I feel :(

my twin brother left for the army when we were 18 , he has been gone for 4 yrs and recently got deployed to iraq. growing up we were always always together, same friends, same interests. since he came home for a visit he hasn't been the same at all, i think the war messed him up :( how do i deal with him not being the same??

I lived with my Mom and Dad together until I was about 6, and they got a divorce. After the divorce, the last time I saw my Dad was when I was around 9 or 10, because he legally "gave up" my brother and I. I was told it was for financial reasons.He wasnt around very much because of work, but my Mom has always told me that he was a little into drugs, and she thinks had an affair with another woman. He was always a great Dad to my brother and I, whenever we spent time with him he always made it fun for us. Im 18 now, and legally I can find him if I wanted to. I looked him up, and he lives like 5 minutes away from me! I just dont know if I should try to meet him or not. What if he is still into drugs? What if he wants to see me? I live on my own now, and feel like I want to do this. I have an older half brother who I would take with me to meet him.( half brother still spends time with him) I also since then have a stepdad who "adopted" me as his own, i dont want to hurt him by this

I need advice. My aunt lives an hour away & comes to visit every week or so. Well, I live about 10 minutes out of town but my grandma & my other aunt [her mother & sister] live in town. There are days when my aunt comes to town & will not even come to our house. I know shes closer to them than my dad which is her brother but she's my favorite aunt. She was here the other day & I called her & she was in a diff. town shopping with my aunt & grandma for baby stuff cause my cousin is pregnant. She said she would come over but never called me back. This really hurts my feelings cause she never wants to drive the extra 10 miles to come see the rest of us. I dont want to be mean but I'm ready to say something about it to her. & my grandma always sticks up for her. I cant just ignore any of them either. Its really bothering me. The last time my aunt was down was almost 2 weeks ago and she has yet to call or email me saying she couldnt make it over, my grandma told me & obviously she didnt come........

My mom left me and famiy a month ago and i still try to deal with it. Then my mom comes by and decides to take half our stuff. She says she just needs her space; but she rented an apartment. Ever since this happened i have been filled with such anger. I realy try to let it go. I will go outside for hours on end and literaly look at the clouds, but even then i still caint find comfort. Every time I see her i literaly want to just KILL something. And she only makes it worse; I have 2 beautiful niece's in the world and when mom left us they were my only joy; but just a week ago when they came over I just didnt feal the same. My mom was the one who brought them over and kept threatening to take them to her apartment and i wouldent see them. Every time i picture her face I feal so angry my freinds worry about me. The worst part is that nobody knows. I caint and wont say anything to my mom because i was raised to respect others unless they disrespect you,...what do i do?! please help me....

I am in arelationship and have been for the last 5 years, i have three children two of which are not my partners, but he has taken them on as his own, which i love him for.. my question is, should we stay together for the sake of the kids?? my eldest two were born not knowing there real father, so i do not want to take away the only father they have, plus if we split up would he want to see all of them or just his own?? i really dont know how our relationship is going to get better, he wants different things and cant seem to wait!! like wants to spend money on musi stuff and not carpets, typical man!!! i want my kids to have a nice home and decent clothes but cant afford to, yet we seem to be able to spend 400 quid on some music studio??? am i completely mad or what. i love him for my youngest but there is no physical attraction anymore, we have a good friendship but i think that is all it is. god i dont know what to do, and if he left would the kids hate me???

Hi I dnt really no wat to say without soundin like a cow, but im sat cryin with no one t talk to, Im 20 and 2 years ago I got engaged and moved in with my fiance,his mother really doesnt like me, I cant understand it we were like best friends until he got a loan 4 her in his name because she is black listed and then she didnt keep up the repayments and i had to intervine and pay it because they were going to take my fiance to court, ever since she thinks im interfeering and often texts her son bitchin bout me and says im rulin him cause he dunt go c her much anymore, this is because when she says shes goin to b in we go n shes gone t the pub. now when i ask my other half he never wants to go.
I feel like I shud stand up to her and tell her to stop been so nasty but im really scared of her shes threatend me b4 and Im nt a violent person.
my other half doesnt want to loose her which I cn understand but were movin house n startin a family n im worried things will get worse!!!

My husband's brothers girlfriend has never been friendly to me. But I have also try to make it a point to go out of my way to be nice to her. But lately i'm sick of it. When she comes to our home she does not even say Hello and the same at family parties. I think she is jealouse she as been dating and living with his brother for 5-6 yrs and we have only been together 3 1/2 yrs. and we just got married. But still I don't think it is right for her to come in my home and be rude to me. My husband is always saying he is going to say something to his brother but he never does. And they come to our house all the time. Like twice a week i have to feel uncomfortable in my own home because of her. They are coming over tonight and i asked my husband to saying to his brother about her coming and he said he would but now he doesn't want to because he doesn't want to start a fight with his brother. So I told him fine then i will just not come home utnil they leave. What should i do?

Are completely controlling my life. they wont let me wear wat i wanna wear, hang out with who i wanina hang out with. they wont lemme do anything i wanna do. they make me feel useless and like i cant do anything right. ive told them how i feel about this before and they said they would look out for myh feelings more but they wont. they still haven't. what should i do to get it in their head that they can't competely controll my life?

...but when I suggested hiring a professional house organizer, my Mom snapped at me and said it's insulting to her. She thinks that members of the family themselves should clean up the mess, primarily the mother. Thing is, half of our house (and we live in a three-storey house) is clutter! She never has the time to clean up her own closet, let alone the whole house! I have suggested throwing away old stuff to minimize junk but she wants to keep them for keepsake or because of sentimental reasons, whatever. I honestly do not want to live in a messy house (who does?) so how do I make our household more livable? I am going to move out soon, but I don't want them to live in that pile of junk of a house too. HELP!!!

me and my boyfriend have been together a yr and are very happy bar one prob.... HIS MOTHER!! She still controls his life, he still lives with her and she hates me. But he is 39, surely she should be letting him go?? I want him to move in with me but shes kicking up a fuss, any suggestions how we can go around this?? My german sister in law (30) thnks she know everything and my parents jump as soon as she or my brother(29) snaps their fingers. The result, they ignore me(21) or don;t respect my opinion.They have doctorate degrees ingeology and i am studying journalism , 3rd year. it's like I dont matter anymore.my parents just blows it of and keep on going the old ways.What do I do? i lost my dad 2 years ago it was very sudden he died of a heart attack.
i was on antidepressant for too long
so i came off of them.

i have 18 kdsi living in my house? We're a mixed family. My first wife died of breast cancer 7 years ago. we had 5 kids together and adopted 3. When i remarried it was to a woman who already had 5 kids. 3 her own and 2 she and her first husband (lost in car wreck) adopted. after we remaried we had another baby, and adopted 2 more. and my niece and nephew are staying with us. so a grand total of 18. i love kids, especially mine. why do people on here say stuff like "i don't believe you" and "sell people tickets to come see your zoo"?

My younger brother keeps asking if he can join my gym & work out with me in the mornings before I go to work & he goes to school (college). I keep putting him off because I know we will both have to shower together after our work out, and sometimes I use the steamroom, both naked of course. Should I let being naked in fron of my brother worry me?
