i am a mother of three that recently ran into some trouble with "THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES" after a disgruntled neighbor called them on me. I have been a frequent pot smoker for years but have not had to worry about it till now. I do not want to lose my children over smoking pot. please help me find a way to pass my hair test so that i can go back to my life with my children. this is so important to me that i am willing to quit for the secirity of my children. thank you

i would like to add that the test that they are giving me will only go back three months...and the test is in two weeks is it possible that i can dye my hair a few times to atleast help lower the levels of pot?

To answer you question...there is no guarantee of any foolproof method of "cheating" a hair folical test, but I too have heard that dying or bleaching your hair can help to reduce the levels....but they have ways of telling if you do this and take measures to try and prevent "cheating" with this method. They will cut your hair at the root (so that you won't have short blotches all over your head) and have to have at least 150 strands of hair....you would have to be sure to dye all the way to the root to prevent a portion of it from showing up. I also recommend doing it right away because some dyes and bleaches can be detected within a week or two. Because everything we take in is traced in our hair, I also recommend the oral cleansers...green tea is a great antioxident and healthy for you. You mentioned that they are only testing back to 3 weeks, and that the test is in two weeks, but you didn't mention how long it's been since you smoked....I get the impression you're cutting it really close. If you've never been in trouble before or had issues with the Dept of Children and Families, it's unlikely that they would remove your children from your home for smoking pot alone....just be sure they don't have anything else to use against you! Things happen for a reason, and perhaps this is just the wake up call you need to create a healthier lifestyle for you and your kids! Enroll yourself in a rehab program now....even if you pass the test, this can only show that you have your childrens best interest in mind. And the only other advice I have for you is say lots of prayers! I truley hope the best for you! Good people sometimes make poor decisions in life...but we are all capable of making change!

Shave your head and the rest of your body so they can't take a hair sample...that's really about the only way. Most likely they will not take your kids away for a first time drug offense, but you are going to be tested randomly, and probably weekly from now on. I guess your pot smoking days are over. If they do take your children see if they can be put in the care of a close relative until you can pass your drug test and get them back.

If it were a urine test, you might be able to beat it, but not a hair test (short of shaving your head). IMO, what you need to do is to be honest about it, but tell the judge (or whomever) that you have resolved to quit, and will comply with any court order to get professional help. Quit now so that by the time you find yourself in this position you can truthfully say that you haven't smoked in however long.

I think you should quit. You cant be a mother and smoke pot, that is a terrible example. I hope you get cleaned up. Good luck with that hair test. Im pretty sure you will fail.

I smoked for a while after my daughter was born, I smoked the day before I got popped with a U. A. I passed! How?, I really don't know. If you truely are going to quit then just pray about it. God is in control and whatever he wants to happen will anyways. We have not, because we ask not! Good Luck!

passing a hair test will be hard...That means you have to wipe away all the pot you've smoked for the past seven years. I know Naproxin, and Vinger helps for a piss test but i'm not sure about a hair test.

Oh my god, listen to these responses. The testing companies don't test the entire length of the hair, then usually test the first 10 centimeters or less. The hair tests are generally good for 90 days. You can get shampoo to mask it and its good for 8 hours. Also, shaving your head is no good. Any hair on your body may be used.

Hair is dead once it grows out your head and therefore could not pass any test. But you seem to indicate that you're willing to help it cheat. In this case, simply dip your head in ink and use this to mark the answer paper.

I hate to say this, but you're out of luck. The hair test traces back to over 1 year...
Next time, just don't do it. It's stupid and there's no point and it's a waste of money.

I am sorry honey but there is no way that you would be able to pass a follicle test. And it will not leave your bloodstream for at least thirty days. I think that you have a long road to hoe.
