i have 18 kdsi living in my house? We're a mixed family. My first wife died of breast cancer 7 years ago. we had 5 kids together and adopted 3. When i remarried it was to a woman who already had 5 kids. 3 her own and 2 she and her first husband (lost in car wreck) adopted. after we remaried we had another baby, and adopted 2 more. and my niece and nephew are staying with us. so a grand total of 18. i love kids, especially mine. why do people on here say stuff like "i don't believe you" and "sell people tickets to come see your zoo"?

wow! your life should be a movie! you have more kids then they do in "Cheaper by the Dozen" and in "Yours Mine and Ours"! you guys must laugh when you watch those!
but to answer your question i think that as long as you can afford to have them and also be able to share your time with each of them then you're doing an AMAZING thing. i would love to have 18 kids one day! you're my hero!

My first reaction was WOW!
It's really no one's business HOW many kids you have. But are you asking if you should have/adopt more?
I am going to assume (and hope) that you are financially secure and that you have some sort of outside help in your household. NO parent is wonderwoman or superman, and it would be crazy to think that you could handle 18 children's various needs and run a household. Handle them well, that is.
I don't think there's a question of how much you love your kids(all of them, step, natural and adopted), but more of a concern. With that many children, you and your wife have to be very dedicated to providing for all their needs - educational, emotional, etc. It's not about how many kids you have, but how well you're raising them. If they're rude, undiciplined, disrespectful and into trouble, then I'd say, Yup you sure do have a problem and need help, fast.

And everybody says a lot of things! So, are you living life for yourself, or are you living your life through what people say and think? If you are choosing the second option, than you really truly aren't living at all! If you and your significant other feel that you want more kids.....GO FOR IT. It's your life, your marriage, your family, and your kids. Did you ask the people who are making these comments if they are helping out with your bills, grocery expenses, etc? You make these decisions for yourself! I must admit, that it isn't common to hear about someone having 18 children, but in the same breath, it's no one's place to judge you like that. It's life, and you are always going to have people make comments, but it's up to you whether you want to listen to all the craziness or continue to live your life and be happy, as it sounds that you are. I think its Great you Love Kids. Just be carefull not to show partiality to your own over the others. I think Most people would think that number is too extreme because in todays World, just feeding, educating and other needs for even "2" kids takes alot of money. The Most Important thing is "Love" and you sound like you have that covered pretty well. I wish you the best.

IF you can afford that many kids, then DEFINITLY the more the merrier. My dad has 9 kids... Im the ninth, and growing up in a house full of kids is alot of fun for the kids and definitly a great social experience. Congrats.

Who cares what other people think. I grew up in a family of 15 kids and it was great! As long as they have food and shelter and parents that love them why not? God Bless you and your wife for giving these kids a loving home.

Dont let those people worry you that say bad things about having too many kids. I you love them all and you can afford them and it makes you and your wife happy, then go for it!!!!! All the luck to you and your wife. I had an uncle that together with his 2nd wife had 15 kids. its not all that bad and its alot of fun !!! never any boredom in their home.

Congratulations for you and your wife. Your kids are lucky to have such giving parents. When you say you love kids, I feel it! I say adopt a few more. If you can afford them and love and provide, why not?

where in the world did you find enough alone time to make another baby?????
i have three and sometimes i can't even go to the bathroom by my self
and my husband hates that-----------------if you have the room and the funds to support them i say way to go =====by the way when are you going to be selling your tickets i may want to purchase some for my husband(hahahaha)

i think they say things like that because they could never handle it...i couldnt handle 18 in one house(i have a hard time with my 2 little ones)....but i think its great what you have done. 6 children that wouldnt have homes otherwise...i hope to adopt a little girl one day...
