The result, they ignore me(21) or don;t respect my opinion.They have doctorate degrees ingeology and i am studying journalism , 3rd year. it's like I dont matter anymore.my parents just blows it of and keep on going the old ways.What do I do? I 'm getting a complex here.

If I were you I wouldn't get too warped about this. It does seem that you are way to jealous of your parent's time and attention. If you're 21, you need to mature a bit and focus on other things. The sister-in-law can't "rule" unless others allow her to do so. You might want to point it out to your family if they are just doing this to appease her; however, you're not going to get a complex unless you really want one, honey. Ignore her. I honestly don't see an easy solution here. I was stuck in a 10 1/2 year relationship and my ex's entire family consisted of control freaks - especially his sister whom he eventually bought a house next door to (because she told him to). I finally couldn't take it anymore and left...but unfortunately you don't have that option.

My sister in law is like that I can not stand her. At Christmas she started telling my son our religion is wrong. I got mad and left. I now refuse to be around her. My mom of course always chooses her, but I will not allow my son and myself to be treated poorly and belittled.

If it were me, i'd take care of my own stuff, and let them do what they will.
If your sister in law takes it upon herself to try and rule YOUR life, tell her that while you appreciate her input she need not give advice unless You ASK for it.. otherwise, stay out of your business... and then, thank her for listening....
