what are some web sites that tells you what parents can/can't do to there kids, kinda like laws or rights i have a step dad thats does almost anything he wants and orders us around, even calls me his slave every so often, and i would like to know how to deal with this legaly. he also takes things from us as "punishement" even if we bought it with our own money or as gift and im getting sick of it. i have a mom who smokes every second shes driving, and i here its illegal cause i have a 4 year old sister but im not sure if its true or not. thx

They moved to Idaho three months ago. They have a six month lease. We went to see them at Christmas and they announced marriage. I thought everything was great. Friday she came home from work and he was gone. It seems she doesn't really want to get married and he feels that means she must not love him, so he just left her there. She hates being alone, it's a small town in winter with nothing to do. She wants to come home immediately but I want her to stay through the last three months of the lease to get more comfortable with being alone. I don't know the right decision. She's 21.

I made $14,000 in the year of 2006 and im only 17 and in school. My mom gambles at bingo alot, and my parents both smoke. I dont have a bed because it got wrecked in an accident 3 or 4 months ago. Parents also went through bankruptcy. I have very little clothes and the only thing I really have is a computer I bought myself. I had to pay for everything myself ex clothes, food (even for them), get licence, anything needed for school,cell phone. They do not buy me a thing! Am I a bad kid for being mad at them when I can't have something that doesn't cost money? Like I wanted to drive to Windsor which is about 1 hour away and they didn't want me to take the car on the highway, then I asked to say the night with my brother, they said no and wanted me back by 9pm giving me like 1 or 2 hours down there. I can't have a girlfriend sleep with me in the same bed as well but not 2 have sex, just sleep. I don't ask for money but to do what I want is asking to much? Am I bad for getting mad at them?

My parents are divorced and it has gone great the past few years but now they seem more emotional over my sister and I. My dad wants us to live with him since we moved with my mom last year. And I feel that it hurts my mom to see us feel bad for dad and it hurts my dad see us feel bad for my mom. So I have been going one week with my mom and one with my dad but I still feel that they are sad. I can see it in there eyes and when I leave to go to the others house. What can I do to make them both happy?

I'm 17 years of age and I want to move out SO bad! I have wanted to for a long time too. My parents went throught bankrupcy a year or two ago and we have very little money. We have a nice house but thats about it. I made $14,000 as a student in 2006 and I have really nothing to show for it other then a computer that I bought myself and a gamecube. I have about 4 pairs of jeans and some t-shirts, but I find myself wearing dirty clothes often. I have about 6 pairs of socks too. Because of an accident that took place about 3 or 4 months ago with a pump breaking and putting water all over my mattress, I no longer have a bed I sleep in my 3 year olds brothers bed. We have no food ever in the house and if i want something I Pay for it myself. I have even gone out 3 or 4 times & bought about $200 worth of food. Now we could have money but my parents both smoke, mom goes to bingo At least once, sometimes five times a week and never wins. Shouldn't they be doing more then just providing a roof?

ok i was in my room and i didnt lock the door and i was jerking off. then my grandma opens the door and i just pretend like im sleeping but i know she saw me cause she said "oops" and closed the door right away. ok here is the scenario... I stayed home fri. because i was 2 upset to go to school (don't even ask) well today I'm dreading mon. i'm scared I will snap in front of everyone. I have things I need to do at home...(dishes/cleaning up the house) I'm only 12 so my grades don't really count. Can't ask mom she is not here... I'm an honor roll kid so my grades are pretty good. But I already missed Fri. and I know I'll feel guilty staying home. Just reassure me... either say i should go or stay...

my mom has issues with things...she makes me anxious and nurvous all the time- sometimes she downright makes me feel bad about myself with the comments she makes. But she has more or less taught me to respect her and all her wishes. she has made me feel so self-conscience and I have the biggest guilt factor- it is terrible, the slightest thing can make me feel horrible for days, weeks. I just cant escape her, but it makes me feel bad to think about it- she is nurturing and has brought me up, but some things I just cant stand. I want to tell her how I feel but her anger is stormy...and there are some skeletons in my closet that I fear she would condemn me for, even though they are not bad she will be very angry, without reason. she does not go by 'reason' more by madness and guidelines of 'motherly protection'. what do I do, just wait until I move out, then forget about it? or make a deal out of it now, which could be disasterous? my brother gave me advice- just dont tell...*hes older*

Ok well my brother and his wife and their 2 girls are living with me and my mom and stepdad their driving us crazy wat do i do
see my mom wont let me step in and kick em' out so now they like live in their room that their staying in they eat food so now we have bugs coming in our house and its really gross while their in their room the youngest girl screams then my sister in law yells
they dont help out cuz when their in the living room theres crap (stuff) all over the place from toys to food

We lived in France ever since my youngest son was 11. Wich was 2 years ago. And he was a really good soccer player. When we came to the US he was the best on his team, And he tried out for the schools team and made it. They said he was a very good soccer player. And at the time his dreams were to be a professional soccer player. Well my middle child was just sent off to college, and we have been having trouble with my husbands father dying. Well ujst recently my son quit soccer. I've been wondering why he quit, because he loved it! He told his best friend that he quit, because nobody had been supporting him, and nobody would come to his games. Well his best friend told his mother and his mother told me. I feel so bad, because that was all he wanted to do. And now he cant do it. Is this my fault that my son quit soccer? Well i feel terribly anyway! what should i do!?

Does anyone else’s partner turn into a nasty so-and-so when they have been drinking? Usually he treats me like an absolute queen, but after a night on the drink, my boyfriend comes home and speaks to me like crap, then can’t remember anything in the morning. He is always very remorseful and tells me it was not him talking, it was the alcohol, but what makes him have those thoughts in the first place? It has only happened a few times, but I don’t like it.

My dad have a mistress in Venezuela and I just found out he already have 2 sons to her. he make quit supporting me in college because he said that he was not able to save money because his salary was not enough to cure his diabetes but I found out the truth. he send remittance to his 2nd family so my half brother can enter a law school while the other one can have a modeling career. my Mother and sisters where hurt that my dad cheated. My dad is a chef on an oil tanker that travels around the world and with that he mange to have a mistress. I felt insulted and because he stopped supporting me because he thinks that his Venezuelan sons are better than me.

My brother plays Maple Story(PC) and now, my dad would let us play it because he plays too much everyday. I think he's reached his patience limit because he let my brother play like, all day and told him to take little breaks and stuff. My brother wants a laptop and now, my dad's kinda forcing us to buy it because he also needs time on the computer, So, the point is, (my dad asked this) What can he do? My brother really wantes to play Maple Story but my dad says he needs to buy the laptop to play it. My brother doesn't feel any guilt that he played over his limits and whines that he should play longer .

My daughter and son-n-law just gave birth to their 2nd child. They are great parents. My daughter relies a lot on her PC for information, she is in several chat rooms with other young mothers, along with support groups, updates on child care, etc. A lot has changed sense we had our children, new discoveries, toys, interventions, etc. I enjoy learning all the new approaches, and respect my daughters judgement and her decisions concerning her children. However her mother-n-law does not. This is creating problems all the way around. Any suggestions on how she can get her mother-n-law to understand that she is the mother and the one who calls the shots concerning her children without being aggressive, or rude. Thus causing even more problems. All suggestions welcome.

My mom and I are really close but then I had to move away to another state and she now spends 6 months a year in a warmer climate. We always did everything together and now we are lucky to see each other twice a year. This really makes me sad and I cry often to think that I can't see her and hang out when we want. I just feel like moving to where she is but that is not possible.
