what are some web sites that tells you what parents can/can't do to there kids, kinda like laws or rights i have a step dad thats does almost anything he wants and orders us around, even calls me his slave every so often, and i would like to know how to deal with this legaly. he also takes things from us as "punishement" even if we bought it with our own money or as gift and im getting sick of it. i have a mom who smokes every second shes driving, and i here its illegal cause i have a 4 year old sister but im not sure if its true or not. thx

You need to talk to your mom (with respect) about how smoking can be bad for your little sister. You should also talk to her if you think your step father is abusing you. I don't know how old you are, but a father taking things away from you as punishment is normal behavior even if you brought it with your own money.
