I made $14,000 in the year of 2006 and im only 17 and in school. My mom gambles at bingo alot, and my parents both smoke. I dont have a bed because it got wrecked in an accident 3 or 4 months ago. Parents also went through bankruptcy. I have very little clothes and the only thing I really have is a computer I bought myself. I had to pay for everything myself ex clothes, food (even for them), get licence, anything needed for school, cell phone. They do not buy me a thing! Am I a bad kid for being mad at them when I can't have something that doesn't cost money? Like I wanted to drive to Windsor which is about 1 hour away and they didn't want me to take the car on the highway, then I asked to say the night with my brother, they said no and wanted me back by 9pm giving me like 1 or 2 hours down there. I can't have a girlfriend sleep with me in the same bed as well but not 2 have sex, just sleep. I don't ask for money but to do what I want is asking to much? Am I bad for getting mad at them?

Ok...I think that sleeping with a girl, even if it's nothing more, is definitly a good decision on you're parents part for not allowing it. You are not a bad kid to be frusterated with them, as you are, but don't ever let it drive you to the point of insanity and never ever let your angry emotions get the better of you.
I feel for you in the finance deal, though, because you are only a kid and should not be having to raise yourself, however, if you're parents won't buy you anything or let you do anything, just be patient. Come 18 and you will allowed to do as you please, legally wise.
Just keep your angry emotions down, tell your parents you love them despite what they do in return, and keep going strong. Sooner or later, even if it is much later, you will be recognized for you're strength.
Another thought, don't let how you've been brought up give you a reason to treat any future children as you're parents have treated you. Be smart and think.

you are NOT bad for getting mad at them... i would too in this situation!

my advice is to try sit them down to have a conversation, put a lot of thought into it beforehand so you come off as very mature and like you have really given an honest effort. remind them of all you have done for them (such as buying food...) and tell them that the fact that you have dealt with this situation with maturity shows that you are ready to be let off their leash a little bit & get more freedom.

this might work a better if you (graciously and don't try to guilt them about it) helping out a lot with housework or chip in extra for essentials in the days leading up to the conversation as this will put you in a better light. remember that you are not a bad kid and that these are things that you seem like you really do deserve. good luck!

No one is truly bad. In your case NO, you are definately not a bad kid. You have feelings that you cant control and you are entitled to them. Dont be hard on yourself. In my opinion your parents could be a lil more understanding of you, you sound pretty responsible. Im the same way, but my parents are very understanding, I practically make my own rules. I seriously wish I could help you more, you deserve to be living like I do.

No you are not bad for getting mad at them. You are a teenager and teenagers get mad at their parents for decisions they don't agree with. I'm sure they had their reasons for saying no. Don't beat yourself up for being mad at your parents. Be proud for respecting their wishes and remember that you are almost 18 and than you can make your own decisions.

first of all.....Windsor?? what does that place have anyway? lol! anyway, i dont think you should be sleeping with a girl in your bed as innocent as it may seem...things happen! you arent a bad kid, but maybe you should talk to your parents and tell them how you feel....sometimes being honest works wonders!
