I kinda agree with Betty, although that is an expensive way to go. You could also probably get the same thing accomplished by a friend of relative with a good zoom lens camera.
Are you married again? If you are, has your hubby ever considered adopting your kids legally as his own? You might see if there is a chance that the natural father would be willing to sign away his parental rights and having to ever pay child support again if your new hubby were allowed to adopt them. That would end all contact with the father and step mom.
Otherwise, depending on the kid's ages, they might be able to go to court and testify before the judge as to what happens when they are with the father.
Also you might request supervised visitation if the kids report that dangerous things have occurred while they are with dad and step mom.
Good Luck!!

I am sorry. The Justice System is a load of crap. Here in Fort Smith Arkansas over the Holiday a mother and her two children were murdered by her boyfriend. He sat with the bodies for three days before the cops came. The father had full custody and the children were only with their mother for court ordered visitation. The father had many court document showing that he believed his children were in danger going there but the courts still gave her visitation. Now they are gone. The only good thing is the father has documentation showing he tried to prevent it by stopping her visitation. If you can call that a good thing, perhaps he can take legal action for that. Just keep trying and never give up. your children are the most important thing and that is all that matters. I'll keep you in my prayers.

If my kids dad was married to such a person, I would not allow my kids to go to his house at all. These such people are very detrimental to the children and your children could be in danger if she is as violent as you say. I would get a new lawyer and modify the visitation or parenting plan that is in place now. God forbid that something happens to your kids while visiting there.
There is so much on the news lately about that very thing. I would advise the kids dad that her behavior is not acceptable and you will not subject your children to it and neither should he.
If she beats on him and everyone else, what is stopping her from doing it to your kids? I am a Paralegal in Kansas City Missouri and we deal with this all of the time. I have not seen anyone loose their children for protecting them. just do it the legal way.
Good luck to you.

Call child protective services. They will interview the parents as well as the children and if they are not being taken care of or are being abused they will find out. The only catch is they may remove the kids from the home but that might not be such a bad thing.

You do have to prove or offer some evidence of what you say is true. Will anyone testify against this woman? Does she have a police record for the things you say she has done. Has she been reported to any agency? You just can't make wild as-s accusations. You have to give the court some proof. Do your kids report mistreatment?

Well you could call child serves.. or what i would do is get a lawyer and have him talk to your kids and take the next step to allow him visitation only with supervision or away from his house without her.. but make sure they talk to your kids...
or take pictures of them without clothes only underware every time before they go there and when they get back to use against them.. if she is hurting your children..

The only thing I can think of is taking them to court and having to prove that she is a nut job.

What you need is a lawyer. Any descent lawyer should be able to tell you exactly what you need to do or prove. There are no lawyers here:)
