Family - November 2006

I live with sister and well I have a HORRIBLE part time job I work about 17 to 16 hours a week. She has no job right now. I make about enough to pay rent which is $350. I am working a bit more hours. But the problem is if we lose our apt I will have no place to go. Parents said I could not move back in with them. What do I do? Note: I am looking for a better job and sis is looking for one.

OKAY. so i have a friend who recently moved 3000 miles away from where i live.
I am very close to her and her family and her mother is a smoaker.
I love their whole family like my own and i realy don't want her mother to die of something like lung cancer. So when I read about this book (The Easy Way To Stop Smoaking) and how it helps you quit with no withdrawal symptoms at all! (I have read this in several places)

should i mail her mother the book??

Will her mother take offense if i do?

If so, should i tell her who sent it?

If not, why not??

Well my grandpa has been staying with us a couple days now and grandma came up to be with him. Well, I went in the nursery to change my baby's diapers, feed him and then play with him some. I have a stuffed baby Smurf that my husband gave to me that used to belong to his first wife that is so cute!!! After I fed the baby I picked it up and started pretending it was real and pretending that it was talking to my baby (I was doing the voices..teehee). I said stuff like "I love you so much" and "you are so precious" and things like that and the baby just was giggling. Well my grandmother came in and told me my behavior was very unbecoming of a young lady and after I left the room she took it and locked it in her car trunk. I pleaded with her to give it back but she won't because she says it is making me childish. To me it was just something I enjoyed doing with my baby and it made him laugh when I would wiggle the smurf. I also cuddle with him some nights when I'm sleeping.

I am 18 years old.i was adpoted when i was four.my adpotive mother is also my aunt.she and her husband got a devorse.her husband got in trouble and i saw what happend.we went to court and he got put in prison for 8 years.before i was kicked out of my house because my adpotive mother doesnt like me.she abused me all the time she blamed me for her ex-husband going to prison but it wasnt my falt.i live with my boyfriend and his mother who is more of a mom then what mine ever was.my sisters hate me and my brother i havent talked to him.my adpotive mother told every one a different story.so every one that i used to know hates me now also....i deal with my adpotive mother calling my cell phone every day to yell at me and all she is doing is wasting my minutes.i have never trusted ne one in my life becides who i live with now.my adpotive mother told me that she hated me and she underapprecated me...that is why i didnt like her. i would like to know if you have to deal with the same problem?

my big problem is that my dads mom moved with us and now me and my dad argue all the time because she gets me into trouble.She provokes me to get mad when he's not around us and then when he does come home she tells him lies of stuff i didn't do now because of this stuff it's making me flunk school the stress of her is making me distracted i cant focus.Now my vice principal wants to talk to my dad and dicuss whats been going on,and my social workers they said i should tell my dad about whats going on should i tell him about my grandma argueing with me and thats the reason why im failing school.Even when i try to ignore her it still doesnt work she just keeps on fighting with me so theres no way or avoiding her what should i do

My husband & I started visiting his daughter when she was 2 mo. old,long story..we visited her daily for 1 yr. but then didnt see her for 9 mo.we really missed her and decided we wanted joint custody of her & we got it,The first 4 visits @ our house went great, Then she started acting scared of us and now 9 months later she bawls when we pick her up BUT by the time we get to our car she is not crying and telling us she loves us. it takes her a couple of min. to really warm up to us. her mothers house is very dif. from ours, they cuss in front of her, & her mother is preg.& smokes in the house. shes completly potty trained here & but not at all there? she tells us she crys for us, & her mommy says no she cant have us. when we pick her up we feel horrible bc she crys and doesnt want to come with us We really feel like they tell her bad things about us especially her dad bc she sometimes wants nothing to do with him & it really makes him feel awful, shes almost 3 is it just her age???

Ok, I am 12 years old, I love to do my own thing and have people leave me alone. But my step-dad is so mean, I hate him. i want him to go to hell. He told my I am only a visiter at our house... wait im sorry...HIS house. He has gave me a 10 min time limit at the table to eat, and I he yells at me about eating sweets when he ate 10 cans of tuna with mayo, and mustard in it, and 21 cookies in 1 day. He ate all MY halloween candy in like 1 week, and he calls me a S-L-U-T!!! I go to a christian school, I Go to church, I belive in God, and I know how to dress, and he calls me a s-l-u-t!!! He treats me like a 5 yr old and says I act like it all the time, it drives me crazy. He never listens to me and he tells me to ask for help then when I do he screams at me. he's a liar and even my mom says so, and 2 weeks ago he called me a liar, cheater, AND stealer, then couldn't come up with a lie that I said, a thing I stole, or anything or anyone I cheated on (I can't even date yet, so I can't cheat)

My computer recently broke down and I've been forced to share one with my dad. I have a new Ipod and I downloaded Limewire to get my songs, this was a few weeks ago. Today I went to download some new songs and on my limewire i noticed that my library was missing. I messed around with limewire for a little while before I found the sho hide on the toolbar thingy. I downloaded my song and decided to download the video as well. When it was done I went to Videos and found all of this child porn on the videos and it certainly didn't come form me. I think my dad downloaded it and I'm afraid to tell anyone in my family. I mean isn't i none of my buisness? But i think I heard even having it in your posession you can get into big trouble. I hid the library again and I havent been on the comp until today beacuse its eating me up inside. My dad for the record hasn't ever tried anything with me. Does having this stuff make him a pedophile? I'm just sooo confused I dont want my dad to go to jail

His name is John Robinson in his 50s, and used to live in Watford round about 1980s, might of moved to south or north london, and had a sister who lived in france, and his birthday is in december... hello there.it so happened that today at 1.00 pm my husband had a driving theory test.but at the time of booking ,i booked for him online and remembered its 4.00 in the evening.and since last week i am in the wrong illusion that the test is at 4'o clock .and today in the morning my husband had missed his job for a day so dat he will practice for the test.and after getting ready when he opened the confirmation letter..it showed test at 1'o clock and not 4'o clock to my horror.he burst with anger on me saying i am responsible for all this.he blamed me for everything ....for loosing his test...loosing the money for test and wasting his time sitting at home practicing for the test
i just wanted to know whether i am wrong,am very guilty though.even it was his responsibility to check the confirmation letter properly when it arrived.

We have a very closely knit family and I have a large family as well. My sister has come to town twice since my baby was born 4 weeks ago. Her job allows her to travel. She also came on my due date. I was overdue and she had to go back home for work. That's three times in one month to see me and my baby. We live 5 hours apart, driving.

That's not all. She has been SO MUCH of a help, loves my baby immensely and the baby loves her too. I call her "Nanny Number One."

I have been thinking about asking her to be my daughter's Godmother although she is already an aunt. She deserves some distinction and I can't perish the thought. What do you all think? Please keep in mind that, yes I do understand the meaning and purpose of Godparenting.

If I decide to do this, I'd make an announcement when my family are all together next Thursday, Thanksgiving Day.

I am married and have one other daughter, FYI - whom loves her more than life as well. She's good with her, too. Thanks!

My husband was out of work for about 5 months and now has a job that only pays $8.00 and hour. We have gotten help with food and clothing and bills, but Christmas is coming up and we don't know how we are going to make gifts or buy gifts for our loved ones and our kids especially. I usually make gift baskets and even those aren't too cheap when you have little to no money coming in.

My sister is in a psychiactric hospital, my nephew who is my godson is being looked after his grandparents ( my mum and dad) very well.
Social services have been notified, and despite our attempts to assure the doctors nurses e.t.c of the strength of our family unit, they have called a meeting with the school S.E.N next week to discuss my nephews needs in school.
as far as we are aware he has no needs, we have not been informed of any and his only 'issue' is that he sometimes has an accident, which is not uncommon in young boys.
i feel so tearful, trying to cope with my sister in hospital, my mum and dad worrying and full time work i feel like i might explode.
can anyone tell me how social services referrals work, am i right to be worried? i saw nanny 911 last night, a kid tried to stab his mother with a corkscrew- why arent social services involved there!!!!

For the passed 3 days she has not wanted any kisses form me, for me to kiss booboos, or let me hold her. I used to be the diciplinary one, my hubby doe snot belive in it at all, so I let him take over that area, So, is that why she doesn't want anything to do with me? Help!!!

My mother is living alone for the first time in her life ( my father/ her husband of 24 yrs died in August) and I worry about her sooo much. She won't accept help from us ( finicial or physical ) and she spends alot of time alone. How can we get her to see that she isn't a burden and we really just want to help?

Am I being spiteful? My parents separated when I was 14, got divorced when I was 16, BUT that is NOT the problem. After they separated, I chose to live with Dad. Then, when I was 18, my dad moved some gf that I never met in. I was sorta ok with that. I understood he needed company that I couldn't offer. Well, after about 6 months, she convinced him to kick me out. I had no job, and wasn't even outta high school yet! ( I was held back a year) But they went ahead and kicked me out. So my bf & I got a place together. Then close to moving day, Dad's gf decided to leave dad. Before she left she told me that i didn't HAVE to move out now.5 years later, I am still upset with him. I hardly speak to him anymore, only at holidays. He never even apologized!! How do I forgive?

Every morning I get up for work my car is almost completely out of gas. My husband says that he hasn't driven it. My kids say they haven't driven it. So while I was getting ready to take my nap my pet cat Scrub secretely confided in me that the dog Trail has been the one driving my car and burning up all of my gas!!!
