Family - November 2006

Hi, its my sisters bday on tues and im stuck for a pressie to get her, i cant really get her clothes or shoes or makeup coz shes funny bout stuff like that and only picks it out herself, i dont wanna get the usual boring smellys or CD/DVDs that i get her, i wanna get her something cool or unusual. shes gonna be 20 and shes not really into anything, hasnt got any hobbies

I’m eighteen. My brothers are sixteen and ten. My older brother abuses my younger brother physically and verbally sometimes. He beats and screams at him and calls him names. Yesterday they were fighting as soon as they came home from school and my kid brother got whacked twice and he was crying lying on the floor. I called my mother and asked her to warn my older brother to stop. My older brother talked to her while calling me names and threatening to beat me up. After the call, he was sitting with my younger brother and my younger brother cried out again. I broke them up and he hit me. I had my arm around his neck then he had me head locked and I punched his face. It stopped there. He wasn’t bleeding but his forehead had deep red bruises. I apologized again and again and bought him an ointment from the local drugstore. We agreed not to let our parents know and he was wearing an icecap this morning. I’ve never beaten anybody up before. I’m ashamed and feel terribly guilty...

I have 3 daughters and we all sleep in the same room. We live in a jonit family and have only one room to ourselves. Anyways, we have a bunk bed where my elder ones, age 6 and 3 sleep and the little one is put to the side besides us (age 2.5). Now, how do I get them to sleep.

They can lie there for 2 hrs doing nothing but not sleeping either. IThey even know their deadline of sleeping till 10:00 pm. They only sleep when I loose my temper and say such harsh words with a thundering voice. This has been the routine for the last couple of months.

Can anyone help us out.. coz now I am fedup of this routine. When we lie them to sleep, there is no TV or music or any other disattraction. The only noise in the room is the chatting of me and my wife. Well..we don't have any other place other than our room to be in harmony.

My mother in law shouted at me for wearing my nighty around the house. She says that she could see the outline of my breas*ts/panti*es thru the satin material. At the same time, i wear mini skirts/tank tops in front of everybody. She is fine with that. why?

Again she says that my inners after washing cant be put in the common clothesline (specially my satin inners). She puts her inners there.

I have seen her go bra-less inside the house many times...her bazooka's flopping around.. .and she is a "larger woman" than me...but if i go bra-less even during evenings(i am petite)- she goes crazy.

She says my father in law and brother in law will "look" at me. Why will they?? If they are doing wrong, shout at THEM..why me?

Is she a psycho case??? What is wrong with her??
What do i do?

My mom is dying from cancer,but my mom and dad have been divorced since i was 3 years old.My dad raised me,as best as he could.I hardly ever seen my mom,and when she would call and tell me she would come get me the weekend she never would.
When i got older i stayed with my mom for a couple of months.while i was staying there she was taking care of her brothers son and had been since he was a baby.Anyway,while i was staying there she told me that if she could go back and change things,that i would have never been born.So shortly after that i moved out.and i didnt see her for a couple of years.Then one day my aunt came by and told me that my mom had cancer.I went out to see her.They finally got her cacer into remission,we were still not talking much,so we faded further away from each other.after another year went by,i seen her at a local and found out that her cancer has returned,this time a lot more severe.
so now she wants us to be mother and son again.I am confused!! HELP

okay so heres the deal i was exploring around my house
(it has secret passages) any way i found a large room filled with very old VERY expensive stuff (swords books clothes jewals etc...)
and i tell my mom about it and she wants to sell all of it and so i tell her im not going to sell any of it (it also happens to be my house) and she tells me im being moronic and we shold sell it (it would make us alot of money so do you think i should sell it or not

Gosh I have to say I had not known this site existed. Katie dear, you forgot to log out of this site before you left for school, and mommy and daddy found it. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what happened after that. I've read every single word you posted about me.
I'm hurt, shocked. Relieved you didn't post the name of the school where I teach. I've got to go to that stinking university every day. I have got to put on a performance every day, put on my happy mask and pretend to all my students I'm not bleeding to death inside.
I already knew you didn't love me.You can't love your father and say the things you've said to me. You can't have any feelings at all for someone and treat them the way you have treated your parents. We still love you. I still love you. If you only knew how much - my God, I would die for each and every one of my kids!!
I know your sister loves me. Im pretty sure your two brothers love me.

A boy (7), his father (37) and his grand father(67) went out to a high moutain. Father carried his father in a big basket. When reaching to top of hill, father put the basket upside down.
Old pitiful helpless man fell and of course died. Boy, shocked and asked "Dad. Why did you do that?" Then father replied "Well. Your grand dad is old and no more useful. So I throw him away." Then they went back. After few seconds, boy rused back to mountain top and took back the basket. When his father asked why, boy replied" This is for me to use when I throw you away one day".

I caught my parents a couple times when I was a kid, but the REALLY disturbing times have been within the last few years. I not only heard my parents doing it, but my mum was talking dirty, like some terrible porn star!!! I know this might be funny to you, but I was traumatised! my sister just discovered we have an ancsetor that was not a good person (*cough* pure evil )

Please, be kind and thoughtful. I'm not looking for attention. This is a real life situation and I would really like some inspirational answers.

My best friend's dad just died from cancer. The sad thing is he died while in a coma, so we couldn't even say goodbye.. I was looking for two things. One, what should I do to help my friend? What are some simple gifts I could give to him and his family? And two, if you have any good scriptures or quotes to help uplift he and his family, they would be so appreciated.

My grandpa is moving in with us. He has memory issues, don't remember what that is called. But he can't remember people or anything. My mom is going to take care of him; woot. And guess what room he gets......mine! Now i have to share a room with my brother; 8 year old brother. I'm pissed. Am I over reacting?

I am 26 and I have a 14 year old cousin that is going to be moving in with me because her parents dont want her in the home any more. I want to become her legal guardian and could use some advice on the procedure I need to follow to do this.

am 24, and NEVER got along with my mom, til this day. we are very different people. she has hurt me so much and put me thru things that i would NEVER put my daughter thru. anyways last year after thankgiving we were not talking until i found out that her chihuahua, had died after 11 years. trust me you guys, she loves her dogs more than me, by now i really dont care. so i called her, i knew she was very bad, depressed, wouldnt eat, even wanted to kill her self, and i was there for her..but did not last, we havent spoken for 5/6 months now, but i feel horroble cause she is all alone, am the only child. the first annyversary of the death of her dog is coming, i could bet she is already crying about it. and am worried about that, the holidays, the death, her being alone. should i call her, i was thinking maybe my husband could do it for me. i really feel very unconfortable with her. what should i do?

He was abused for about 2-3 years by his last father, I gess some dude who raised him. His mother left him at nine. Now he's sixteen and lives with us.

It's been going good but every time my dad tries to joke, he gets scared; he won't let anyone touch him, my grandmother tried to hug him and he shyed away from her.

Tonight my dad lost his temper and yelled at me (I was wrong, I admit) but he was right in the other room. Now he's locked himself in his room and won't come out. What should I do?

i was a little punk when i was growing up.
and you know what? i've actully turned out to be a much better adult than i thought i would when i was going through those silly rebellious years....
I think it ALL has to do with the fact that that my parents were tough on me, real tough. they didn't put up with any temper tantrum i tried, or any lie, or bad thing i did.
I just want to see what other parents think.

We just adopted a teenage boy (16) in our house. Everytime my dad says something he jumps out of his skin and does it right away. He's terrified of my dad and my dad hasn't layed a hand on him. He does come from an abusive background, though.

He's not very scared of my mom or me but has a hard time interacting with our uncle Jeff when he comes to visit. What should we do?

My mother is ALWAYS embarrising me in front of my friends!! like, she will randomly show up at my HIGH SCHOOL during lunch to bring me some lunch. and she will sit down at my table and start talking to all my friends. they just look at me, and my red face. what should i do, because i really dont want to hurt her feelings, but come on....i can only handle so much embarrisment!!

Do you think its tacky......we were considering it cause when we were married 6yrs ago, we could have the wedding that we would have liked, we had no money, familes fueding......and my mother-in-law hates me........after our 4yr anniversay and a new baby he left me and filed for divorce......we were seperated for a yr and later we decided to reconcile and now we have a 4mo old baby girl.....we have been through so much drama and i am still having problems with the MIL but he is actually starting to pull away from his mommy, so we were thinking if we can get past all this garabage we should renew our vows and celebrate it how we should have done 6yrs ago.....what do you guys think? Is it a waste of money since we have a 2yr old and 4 mo old? They will be 6 and 4 by then........
