My b/f of 2 years and I got in a pretty mean fight last week. I hit him first, but he got me back and he went a little overboard. I am now the one who is injured. He went to jail and his parents bonded him out right away. I came home after a few days at a womens shelter, and since then, he hasnt told his parents that i am back. Its his house, not theirs, and really they have no reason to dislike me(other than that he went to jail, and i am not the one who called the cops). I am not even allowed to answer the phone. Why doesnt he just tell them that im back? is he ashamed of me? oh yeah, his dad said that he wont help him out anymore with money if he gets back with me? why is his parents so hateful to me? especially when i have been nothing but nice to them.

His mother-in-law is wicked. She controls the daughter, uses them, manipulates her, does not want her out of her grip, uses her money to control her, they argue often, calls her 5 times a day on the cell and much more. Her daughter is doing internship for Disney for 6 mos away from home (first time away) while my son is in Iraq. They been married a year and half.

I have seen her wicked nature. The kids ran away (her 22 him 24) to get married because of her and I got 3 hours of being yelled and cussed at on Easter at a brunch I took her to since she could not plan a huge wedding for her only daughter. I saw evil in her eyes and I do not like her. I think she will ruin both their lives.

I have been told to stay out of it and I am trying. My son comes home from Iraq next month and has to deal with all this.

Any suggestions for me or him?

I have a choice to make. Go to Reading and live in a not so nice house, with my 15mth old twins in nursery 2-3 days a week, and me working part time, hubbie commuting to and from NE London daily....OR...should I stay in Swansea and look after my twins in a nicer house with support of my Mum and sister and good pal near by, and hubbie commuting back from London on weekends (he has 30 days annual leave which is good). Need to buy a house either way as currently live with Mum cos Dad died 3 months ago. Help me decide please!!!

Do you think my 16-year-old son is ashamed of me when his friends are around? He says he's not, but I think he's just trying to not hurt my feelings.

In the world of parenting fathers are considered the lesser of the two parents in regards to ability and the legal system. I also notice that it is quite acceptable in media to paint fathers as stupid and unable to handle the children. I also notice that in a lot of minority rhetoric during segregation and the equal rights movement mirror a lot of the same thing (The ruling class -in this case women- often thought of the lower classes as less than them and hence aren't as good and can deserve to be made fun of)
This idea hit me when I read a revamped version of Soujurner Truth's "Ain't I a Woman" done into "Ain't I a Parent" that was done from a father's perspective.

The other day my parents went to the store and two 2 of my sisters with them, I went over to my friends house and my other sister stayed home. Me and Mickey went back to my house and we went to my room. As we were getting to my room we heard something and saw my sisters door cracked a bit. We peeked in and she had a Porno going and she was naked touching herself. She went at it for a while. Should I tell her what I saw?

I'm 52, he's 57, he works 1:30 am to 11:30 am M-F. I work 8am to 5:00 pm M-F We see each other Friday 6:15pm until sometimes Sunday afternoon providing I go with him to his second job on Sunday morning at 2am to5:30am. I go to Church and meet back at his place until he lays down at 5:30 to start it all over again Monday at 2am. Seeing each other for 2 years. Do you think we'll ever commit to living together or something deeper?I know he loves me very much and I him also. His job is physically taking a toll on him and I feel like we both need to get away to another State and start over , even at our age. Help , my gut says do it but I'm scared....

My mom plays favorites with her grandkids (9) and very blantant about it. Recently my son and his cousin got into an arguement. nehew head-butted my son and he put his foot out to stop him. when he fell he cried to his mom who called grandma. Neither grandma, mom or me were there. Two adults were who said my nephew started it and didn't cry til his mom showed up. Grandma called my son screaming, cussing and calling him names and wouldn't listen to his side. My son hung up because that's what he's been told to do when someone cusses on the phone. My son's feelings are hurt as are mine. She said some very hurtful things to him and its not the first time she has insulted one of her grandchildren. She won't talk about it just starts screaming and won't listen to the whole story. How should I handle this? She is only 59yrs, so it can't be dementia.

I've never known my Biological Father never seen a picture & only very recently learnt his name. Upon asking my mother all these years i have been met with non compliance she refuses to talk even ignores i have ever said anythin about it & simply says my step father is my dad. I've had a step father at 3, At 6 (although technically he is my mother b/f) I took on his last name. At 16 he told me to change it back he doesn't want me in his family & dis-allowed my mother to see me. Since then no xmas, bdays, marriage, or my childrens birth have been spent with her. I have only recently become more intriqued by who my father is, what kind of man,he is, do i share his traits is there anythng (heriditary disease, etc.) from his side of the family i should know about? I haven't fully healed from the rejection from my family & i fear this may just to sought a place in a family.

My fiances' parents accused me of stealing money from him. He had money in his room that is now not there. I didnt take it and he said he knew i didn't take it but his parents told him to ask me so he did and he said he asked to prove them wrong. I got so upset though because I couldn't believe his parents actually would think I would do such a thing. Is it wrong to be so upset?

She´s away and we told her by leaving a message on her voice mail since we couldn´t reach her. She sent a short email saying that was nice, but ever since then (2 weeks now), she hasn´t called any of us to officially tell us how happy she was! She already talked to her son on the phone on one occasion, without a single mention of the whole baby thing!
