Money is a real problem for us and when we do have any it is always not near the holidays, so i give him a girft certificate or 2
Massages, time alone from the kids on an afternoon he has off and wants to watch a game alone with some quiet. If you have some money then ask him what he wants?????????

Large, noisy power tools. The more dangerous the better. I'd love a chainsaw for Christmas but the missus gave me one of her withering looks when i suggested it.

You could buy him a nice sweater in his favorite
color, also he might like a bathrobe and some comfortable slippers, also you could buy him a pair of jeans, and some tools. You could buy him some roses and a box of chocolates too:)
Also cook him a romantic dinner of his favorite
food and serve by candlelight. if you can afford it, buy him a car.
