How did it feel when your youngest baby had a baby?
I just found out my baby girl (she's 25) is pregnant she was going to wait until 30 but it happened and I am so happy but still always felt like she's still my baby. We love her and will support her emotionally through this but being the last and the one the whoel family doted on the past few years will she feel left out if we are to crazy about her baby. I have 5 other grandkids and Love them all to death but don't get to see them as often as I'd like my youngest has always joked that don't worry mom when i have a baby you can see them as much as you want especially when they need changed. ( I think she's joking about that one I know she will be a great mom) she lives close to us

My sister in law acts like a crazy person. We just had the strangest phone call:
She just had a "heart to heart" talk with me where she wanted to tell me everything that she doesn't like about me. And for me to be completely honest with her about me feelings for her. WHO DOES THIS? Apparently she's jealous because I have a closer relationship with our husband's mother than she does. We live across the street from each other AND we work together, what does she expect? They moved 2 1/2 hours away. Also, she's jealous that I have a friendship with her old best friend, whom she ruined her relationship with due to lying and stealing and being just plain mean. This girl isn't my best friend or anything, I see her only occasionally.
What do I do about her? She just HAD to tell me how much she hates me, and I felt nervous telling her the same thing because I wasn't sure if it would be used against me later.
Would you have told your crazy sister in law everything that bugs you about her?

What do you think of this situation: Sally lives in a 3 story apartment on the second floor with her two children (a toddler and a 6 month old). The laundry room is on the bottom floor. If Sally waits until her children are taking their naps is it ok for her to run downstairs for just a few minutes to wash and dry her clothing. Is this neglect? Tell me what you think. Her mother thinks that it is.
Also, the toddler sleeps in a secure bed with the door shut. He is just 2 so he still sleeps in a crib.
And, is this any different than having a two story house with the children upstairs and the laundry room down stairs? Thank you, Sally will appreciate any input. She really just wants her children to be clean and safe.

I'm in my mid 30's, breaking it off with yet another Mr. Wrong who seemed more like Mr. Right than the last one. Everytime my older married sister comes around she cracks jokes about how I can't keep a man and how I need to get married. Sometimes I ignore her, sometimes I tell her that I will do as I please without her "support". When I go home, I cry. I feel upset, and sometimes helpless, that things don't workout with these guys, but I can't just get married. I don't want to show up to Thanksgiving dinner, because I don't want to hear more. What do I do?

My boyfriend's mother, brothers, uncles, aunts etcc HATE ME! I didn't provoke their hate ok. This thanksgiving My parents invited my boyfriend to spend the whole week in Mexico so that He could finally meet the rest of my family. My boyfriend knows how important it is for me... but He told me that He always spends holidays with his family. He refuses to go. I feel sad, horrible! SAD! We plan on getting married in 1 yr or 2 so I really don't know why He never takes me as someone important. What should I do? I am thinking of forcing him to go with me. Who is the selfish one here? A great friend of mine has a 13 year old child who's father nor his family has seen. Yes they knew but denied it, they had chances but gave excuses! She tried on and off for years to locate for child support but failed. Not to mention she was doing fine and was angry saying they didn't deserve the child. Now he's older he's going through the "finding himself" and wants to know. So she located them through PI....wrote a letter with a self addressed stamped envelope for then to return it (the grandmother)....Well it's been a while with no response(she left e-mail, phone and address). The child really wants to know....but she is regardless doing the child support thing.....she should!Should she take the child to the address or just let it go(child asked her to do that)????? What would you do??? She is a WONDERFUL Mother but I have no answers ...Should she take the child to the address or just let it go?????What would you do???

I have a full time job that is enough to pay the bills. I need another source of income. I have tried to offer my services for babysitting which has beared no results and have also tried selling my daughter's baby things that she no longer needs which hasn't worked so well. I can't get a second job because I would never see my daughter and her father is in prison and doesn't have to pay child support. My family also doesn't help and I can't get assistance because I make 'too much' money. I also do not currently use things lke internet (except at work or library) and cable. How can I earn some extra cash with all this on my plate?

I was molested by my mothers boyfriend as a child and when I told her, instead of leaving him she turned around and married him. I was raised in the same household with him until I moved out at 17. Now I hate my neglectful mother. Is the hate justified or should I "love and honor" my mother no matter what?

One day on Myspace, I happened across my b/f's daughter's profile. He has 2 kids that live in another state and have kept in contact with until recently. He sends them cards(w/ money) for their b-day's and holidays, and if they need money for something they want, he sends what we can afford to. Since we have not heard anything from them lately, we contacted his daughter through her profile and told her to give us a call..(we have incoming service only on our phone, due to me being sick and not working) After a few messages back and forth with his daughter, who is 16, b/f's ex has gotten on there and sent a very nasty message calling my b/f a Deadbeat and saying that us calling and leaving messages before our phone service was downgraded was bull, etc.
I know he has paid no regular child support, but we do send what we can, when we can...(I met his ex 1x, when we brought his kids here for Christmas and got along fine with her)
Now I am wondering if I should message back or let it go?

I was wondering how you can be a strict parent but still be able to have a fun attitude. Like, what kind of attitude/rules you need to keep your kid and yourself happy at the same time.

You are 57 years old, You Have 4 living sisters and 1 brother. You were abused by your mother as a child. (physically but more verbally). You got married right out of high school. (to get away). You became a good wife and Mom and included the "family" in holiday and other activities. (forgive & forget right?) When the marriage did not work out after 10+ years. Your Mom turned against you and began to badmouth you again. I've lived a good, clean, healthy and prosperous life but, none of my family wants to have anything to do with me because of her lies. We have been estranged 23 years now. I've tried, even through my children (they don't speak to them either) but, no success. As I get older this weighs on me. What to do?

I had a rough life living with my dad and I finally got out of my personal hell when I was 12 and went to live with my mom. As I got older my dad attempted a relationship with me. For almost 4-5 years after I moved out I had nothing to do with him. I was physically and emotionally abused by him my whole life so I was not happy to be around him at all. I wonder if I had a more tramatic expierence that I cannot remember because like a year later we would go out for breakfast or whatever (which always ended up in disaster) and he would touch me (not perverted like) like hugging me or kissing me and I would feel like throwing up and I was completely disgusted by him being to close to me. I feel like this is more then just the bad relationship between us. Could I have been violated sexually by him and have suppressed the memory? I can't figure out why I feel that level of disgust. At this point he is cut permanantly out of my life. It is not worth it to me to have a negative relationship.
