A parent will nurture you, guide you to follow the right road. They will feed and clothe you, care for you when you are sick. Worry about you no matter how old you get, love you forever and never forget your birthday.
Yes parents are fair, they give you much but receive nothing in return. A parent only asks that you do well in your studies (not for their own good but yours), stay out of trouble and come home when asked. When a parent asks you to come home at a certain time it's because they want to know you're safe and they can go to sleep. You only ever know these things when you have children of your own or there is someone you love so much that you worry about them. What would you do if one of your parents went missing. Would you lay in your bed sleeping? no.

Objectively I think that some parents are fair some are not. The child probably thinks that most are not fair.

I dont think it is a matter of being fair. I believe parents are trying to share their past experiences with their children. Parents also try to keep their children from making the same mistakes that they have made.

In the eyes of children parents are never fair. But once you get older/become a parent, you will understand why parents seemed to be so unfair. They have their reasons. Just trust their instincts!

When you are a teenager, it seems like they are not fair and the worse people in the world, but after you grow up (especially when you have kids of your own) you will realize how "fair" they were.

It depends. But in a normal case parents really are just trying to look out for their kid and make sure they live a safe and successful life. Its not like parents want their kids to be living with them till they are 60, they just dont want you to get into trouble or get mixed in the wrong crowd and when they say they are doing something because they love you ....
ITS TRUE

Fairness is irrelevant when it comes to parents. They're the ones footing the bill for your childhood and beyond.

Most Parents try and be fair. It's hard when you love your child...you only want what's best for them. Experiences has shown us what you haven't learnt yet...so sometimes we don't seem fair.
