As long as you are responsible and not waking your parents up by coming in drunk, no. However, unfortunatly, you still live in your parents house and you have to live by their rules. I guess it's a respect thing.

This is a precious time to learn about personal responsibility. When I turned 14, my mom got rid of all the rules except 4:
Pick up after yourself.
Never Ever lie.
Call when you're going to be late.
You can't miss work or school because you were out too late.

I think these rules are acceptable for an adult living with their parents. Instead of a curfew, tell them when you expect to be home, and to give them the curteousy of a phone call when you think you're going to be late. (So mom knows when to expect to hear the door open.) Pick up after yourself, because you're not a child anymore. Foster a trusting relationship with your parents by being honest with them about where you're going and who you're going with.
I learned about personal responsibility this way. The first night of no curfew I stayed out all night with my older friends. The next day I had to get up to go to school, and I felt like crap, so I learned why to come home earlier on school nights.
Are you still in high school? If you are then I understand your parent's urge to keep you under their control, but you should explain to them the need to learn how to be an responsible adult while they are still there to catch you when you fall.
If you're out of school, then I think you should get a job and pay rent to live at home. Not a lot, but enough to cover some bills. This will help your parents see you as an adult and less of a child.
Good Luck!

That's entirely between you and your parents. It's their house and just because you've turned 18 doesn't necessarily mean you are above their rules.

Try talking to them....having a curfew isn't a bad thing but, if you want to stay up later, discuss this with them and try to reach some sort of a compromise.

well..i am 18 years old soon to be 19 years old and i have no time that i have to be in by. My parents trust me tho, i have never gave them any reason not to trust me. I come in at resonable times and do not go out and do stupid things that a lot of 18 year old do. have you gave them a reason for you to have a curfew??

Curfew is different than bedtime!!! It is up to your parents since you are still living at home. I think if you are still in high school then it is ok for you to have a curfew, but once you graduate, then it is not necessary.

I think if you live in your parents house, then yes you still must abide by the rules they set for you. As far as a bed- time , you are alittle old for that but a curfew yes.

If you still live with your parents then unfortunately for you I think a curfew (and bedtime) are appropriate. It's hard to obey but have respect for your parents. After all, they're are probably supporting you financially. Unless your ready to move out and make it on your own, then I suggest you live by their rules, no matter how silly you make think they are.

if you are living with your parents then yes they have the right to give you a curfew, but not really a bed time.

I don't think you should have a bed time, but there should be some rules just because you do still live in your parents house!
