My boyfriend and I would like to elope next month, but nobody knows our plans. People know that we are engaged but they don't know when/where the wedding is, or that it will be so soon.

Is it customary for an elopement to send a card or something to let people know that I got married? I would have really liked to have a family celebration, but right now we just don't want to put down the cash, and I find something is very romantic about an elopement...

did anybody send/receive some kind of an elopement card?

I am dating a guy that i've been seeing for about a month and a half. I really care for him and am possibly falling in love with him...although I don't feel that it has reached that point yet. Anyway he is from another country and is here to go to school. He has family here and all over the US but his parents are in another country. From the very beginning of our relationship he has told me that he is very marriage minded and ready to settle down. Being that we are from different countries and cultures, our values are very different. We both just turned 25 and are working on our Masters degrees, but while he feels ready to settle down, I am not. Anyway, now he is pressuring me to marry him. Ok, I fell out with my son because I caught him smoking cigs in his room. I gave him the silent treatment and I decided to not let him goto his football club and tennis or I don't even bother to make his dinner. I told him,"If I ever catch you doing that again, I'll kick you out of her, you ungrateful little fat bastard, how dare you do that." My wife wanted to just talk him through with it but I wanted to take action. So, he was trying to talk to me and I kept on cutting it off. They then screamed,"SNAP OUT OF IT !" And stormed out of the house and went to his grans ... that all happened 5 mins ago. Do you think I was too harsh on him ?

There's a guy I visit a lot(he lives in another state) and we've been good friends since we were little. The problem: everytime he sees me he has this need to..like...touch me...Yeah, it's unwanted. I've tried subtle hints, like moving around the room, but it doesn't seem to work. I don't want to tell him to bug off because he's really sensitive and isn't trying to hurt me. Any ideas? So my situation goes like this...I've been dating this guy that I have been madly in love with. He's everything I have ever wanted and dreamed of. We've been living together a year, dating two. We planned on getting married. He is my best friend. Out of the blue the other day he decides he isn't sure what he wants anymore and decides it's best to break up. There were no signs leading up to it, everything was so great. I can say my heart is officially broken this time, and I feel as though my spirits have fallen and I have nothing left. Is it common for guys to suddenly feel they are confused, and scared when it comes to long term relationships? How do you cope? What things are best to get your mind back on track? They have been dating for a few months, and we all go to school together. She is a junior though- a year younger than her boyfriend and I- so we have a lot of classes together and none with her. Well, we were friends before they officially started dating, and he is a cool guy, BUT ONLY AS A FRIEND. He flirts with me all the time! I don't know how to tell him to buzz off, because every time I do he says he is only playing around. He compliments me, smells my hair when I am not looking (we sit directly next to each other in two classes) and writes all over me. He will write things like 'jason is number one' on me when I am not paying attention. Once he wrote his name on my knee and said "I always knew I would get you on your knees some day."

I told him to back off, and even told his girlfriend to talk to her boyfriend about his flirting. She made excuses saying he is always like that and he is just being polite by being flirty.
How do I get this guy off my back without causing drama?

I live in a 4 bed, 2 bath home. My wife and myself own half the house, while one of her brothers live in the back half ( the house is seperated by a custom dry wall ) with his wife. Thus, we own 50% a piece. In the front half where I live, my wifes mom and dad live with us in their own bedroom. I commited to 2 years in this house and now, my wife refuses to leave and get a place with just her and I because she says that her parents must be ok with whatever they are going to do or where ever they are going to go. Pretty much, her whole family in this house must be ok to go their own way, before she moves anywhere with me. No one can refinance because of the current market prices. I just feel lost as to what to do. We have no kids and can afford things on our own with no problem. Anytime that I have an issue with her family where they do whatever they want and do not share fair responsibilty, she takes their side and says that I am too opinionated. and he and this other guy make fun of the white girls who are in either grade (he is i think 14 and is friend 15) and I'm 13 and in 7th grade they haven't said anything mean to me but still and yesterday he asked me " do you feel left out because your not Hispanic?" i really like him but i don't really think he would like me because I'm white but i don't act like the other girls I'm not addicted to Hollister or Hot Topic or anything like that I've never been to any of those places! i like rap and hip hop which i don't think they know about. he talks to me a bit but he can more relate to my friend because she is Hispanic his friend doesn't really talk to me but he talks to my friend and i do feel left out sometimes i'm not bothered by it but i thin he might be and i only see him on the school bus because of the age different and the fact my school is huge there are 1,700 kids! and i just realized i started going off topic! This guy I really liked and he really liked me asked me out. When we were going out, he made me feel so special, unlike anything any other guy had. He wrote me songs and poetry and the like. But then one day he said while sometimes he felt I was like a gf to him, other times I acted more like a best friend. So we broke it off and I acted like I didn't care but really I do and none of my friends understand and they can't help me. That was only a week ago. So last night he was telling me about this really amazing girl he found and everything, and he was talking to me about her the way he used to talk about me and it really hurt so I started yelling at him. And he apologized but I just couldn't stop myself. Because he had been doing it a lot lately. And now he won't talk to me and I feel really really bad because not only have I lost a bf, but a best friend too. My mom and dad is very overprotective and I've just got invited to my good female friend's sleepover but in order to do that, I need to invite her to my house and show her to my mom and dad. But Im embarrassed too because my house has no cable, no good food, and my dad curses alot and my mom will judge my friend on her looks and I think she will be scared. My mom won't like any girl that isn't preppy and girly and she hates anyone that wears black or anything gothic. My friend doesn't do drugs/drink/make bad grades but they don't trust me. Theres nothing to do at my house either.

Any suggestions?
