My mom and dad is very overprotective and I've just got invited to my good female friend's sleepover but in order to do that, I need to invite her to my house and show her to my mom and dad. But Im embarrassed too because my house has no cable, no good food, and my dad curses alot and my mom will judge my friend on her looks and I think she will be scared. My mom won't like any girl that isn't preppy and girly and she hates anyone that wears black or anything gothic. My friend doesn't do drugs/drink/make bad grades but they don't trust me. Theres nothing to do at my house either.

Any suggestions?

Just have her come over to do homework or something. Then, she'll look "respectable" to your parents and she won't have to stay long.

Tell her beforehand that your family is funny about meeting people you hang with and she should understand. Everyone's parents have their oddities.

i know what your going through. when i lived with my dad and step mom they had the same rule for me. they had to meet any friend or boyfriend i went out of the house with. we had a pretty decent house for a middle class family. but they would do everything to embarass me. my step mom actually told one of my boyfriends that she thought he was gay. my dad told another one of my boyfriends that if he didnt get me home on time that he would go after him and if he couldnt his dog would. we owned a german shepard at the time. he was standing on our front yard with a beer in his hand in sweat pants and a mitch match car shirt like a darn hillbilly. family sucks lol..
and when i lived with my mom and step dad. they didnt enforce that rule. but my mom was a HORRIBLE decorator. she would buy random things at thrift stores and garage sales and try to do things like painting herself. a beige livingroom and a tacky green colored kitchen. she painted checkerboard patterns down our hallways with nascar things. she would leave snowmen christmas decorations out all year long. no decorations or furnature would match. we had the ugliest unfinished wood floors. omg that house was ugly lol. i wouldnt let any of my friends over. and the ones i did i still get teased about it.
theres nothing you can do about crazy family members and your house lol.. true frinds wont judge you on what you own and your family. you might get teased, but you learn to grow a thick skin and suck it up. just think you will be on your own in a few years..

Yeah did you mention they may not let you "sleep over"because she is a girl and you are a guy? They'd be insane to do that.
