is there such thing as a guy that is pretty good looking and NOT a huge flirt or arragant. cuz every guy that is good looking is a HUGE flirt or extremly arragant/conceted. i hate it so much. is this just a high school thing or is it long term?

He went down to Arizona to visit a friend, and came back with this funny little paper-mache-ish skeleton figurine - it's wearing a little dress and hat, so it could almost be cute, but the face is definitely a skeleton. (My birthday is on Dia de los Muertos, Day of the Dead, and apparently they're really popular for that.) I really don't like it. No actually, I pretty much hate it. Who seriously wants a skeleton figurine in their room?!?! But I love my dad so much, and I know he thought it was really cool, since my birthday is on Dia de los Muertos and all that. I can't bring myself to throw it away, but...yuck. What should I do?

I have a really great friend who is getting in some serious trouble. He's a year older than me, in 9th grade, and I consider him to be the big brother I never had. I love him to death, but it just doesn't seem to be enough anymore.
You see, I don't get to see him much, but he's got this really horrible girlfriend. She manipulative and inconsiderate; plus she's cheating on him with three different guys that he KNOWS about!
He's gotten into a lot of trouble because of her. She's got him hooked on sleeping pillls and is having sex with him. He's fifteen for God's sake! But the worst part is, is that his parents found out about it all and won't let him see her anymore. Normally this would be a good thing, but he's decided he won't eat until they let him see her!
He could die being this stupid! Currently it's been a week and a half and he's only eaten an apple. I just don't know what to do. But she's actually encouraging him to be anorexic.
What do I do? I'm so worried..

I'm still in 2nd year college and have a big dream of becoming a great scientist,; but my dad is getting old and my 2 brothers are not doing enough . I feel I have responsibility to take charge of them and my little sister. Where ther' is not any kind of public assistance. it's a third world country.

okay one of mt guy friends. hes nice and funny and all, but online he never starts the conversation. Once i eventually start it, he gets really into the conversation and stuff but..why doesnt he ever start it?

i hate starting it now because i feel like im getting off desperate or something. What should i do? how do u think he feels about me? does he not like me(as a friend of course)?

i think the guy i like, likes me 2..but i can't tell we were in the same class in first grade and have been going to camp together for as long as i can remember. it was only this summer we really connected. he sat by me every morning. he tried to be around me as much as possible. he would stare at me when i got off the bus at my house. he's only in 2 of my classes at school,gym and band. but i still see him in the hallways and we have the same teachers. when ever he sees me he stares and smiles. during assembly's he looks towards me, glances and smiles. when he's with his friends, he'll look at me. look at them. and then start talking to them again. he makes up pet names for me in the halls on the way to/from band. he is SO nice to my sister at camp and the special ed kids at school. he would never do that last year. he is the MOST OUTGOING PERSON i know, but yet when he's around me he gets quiet and shy. does he like me? any conversation starters? what can i do??

We are a middle class family who live in the suburbs. We arent like trailor trash or something. I go to a private high school and my dad works a white collar job. I just found out that my dad is an alcaholic and has been hiding it for 30 years. He has never been drunk near me and I have never even seen him drunk, but I found an AA book in our library that has his name in it and that he wrote in. What the hell do I do?

BTW my mom knew, but my sister didnt.

I was at work today and this married guy who has shown signs of being attracted to me was working today as well. He always has his office door open, and it faces the front door to the department, with is made of glass and goes out to a secluded hallway.

I went out to the hallway to make a quick phone call, and would glance at him occasionally - but, 3 times, he simply stopped what he was doing - writing or typing - and simply sat there, staring at me. He smiled whenever I caught his eye too. But then I had to look away, because I was actually trying to talk to someone!

There was no one else around, and he is 10 years older and a director - I'm just an entry-level temp!

Does this mean he's flirting? He does seem to stare a lot, but what does it mean?

I have a question, how is it that someone gets mad at you writing them letters, I mean I Have this auntie, a couple of weeks ago, she
Started going around pulling the cord out of The t.v. in the basement, so I started writing Her some notes about it, now granted there
Were nasty, she started when she tripped About me setting her clock for her in the house, during our blackout when it was raining
She picks a time when I'm sleep to say some
Smart *** comments to me, when I least
Expect it, and said whole bunch of mean
Stuff, but snapped at me as I can expect on
What I said in them letters, she is meanie
In disguise with her smart comments I wish
She would leave our house, she secretively
Mean and evil, when someone tells her stuff
And when they write her notes it's worst, just
Little smartie pants about everything, can you
Help me to deal with this year long situation?
It is affecting how I live and my spirit.

My 19 year old daughter started at a community college last spring; at the term end in June, we saw she failed all of her classes, as she was using cocaine at the time(i was unaware of her drug use). She went to rehab in August and stayed for a month; she is drug free and is trying to reform her life. She has moved back home and she wants to start again at a different community college in december, at the start of the next quater. Should i let her do that? I'm unsure, as she failed last time. She wants me to pay for half of it(i paid for all of it last time). What should I do?

Theres this girl thats "oh my god" in love with my bf. They use to kind of talk in a more than friends way a while back but things didnt work out I'm guessing because she lives like 6hrs away from us in his hometown that he visits from time to time. We've gotten into a fight before about her because I simply asked him what was up with the two of them and he flipped saying she was just a good friend. What the F^%^ ever i KNOW he liked her at some point and i know shes madly in love with him.

Well today i went to comment him on his myspace and i saw that she left a response comment on his myspace. i know it was a response because she said stuff like she was answering some questions that he probably left on her myspace.

He says he loves me and blah blah blah but if he knows that I dont like them talking because of the history they have why would he continue talking to her. I'm not talking to any of the guys I liked and it didnt work out with, just out of respect. You know?

There's a few people that really tease and annoy me and I would like to give them a severe verbal thrasing for it so they would think twice before doing it again. They say pretty mean things about my family which aren't true.

I would like to try standing up for myself verbally like really drill it home to them so they will feel really bad about it and never do it again.

I always have a problem where someone annoys me but I be lost for words of how to verbally beat the **** out of them for it.

I usually say something like "shut the **** up" and they only recoil briefly, laugh at me then come back for more and more.

i recently got dumped by my first girlfriend.
i have no idea WHY she left me, she just said she couldnt handle a relationship and that she needed to "figurse some stuff out" which is total bull sh*t
but she was the only thing in my life that made me happy, and i havent been truely happy since i was maybe 7
i had told her that i love her and i meant it
without her..... i just dont know what to do
i know that all of you are just going to say "give it time" or "there will be plenty of other girls" but i wont believe that till it happens
since she left i havent been able to do anything, my grades are slipping, i quit the football team
and at work i've been coming in late, going home early and doing a half-assed job. if i worked for anyone else i would have been fired already.

i just really need some advice
