Depending if she remarries or not, I believe. I just recently was mailed the information about my SS since my b/d is coming up and on the right page at the bottom it does state that under certain circumstances your divorced spouse may be intitled to some of your retirement..... :( sorry.

What she was in titled to after your divorce is in the divorce decree....I believe she is 11 years too late in trying to get some of your retirement. Best bet is to check with Ca divorce laws

Nothing is written in stone, but I don't think so unless you still have minor/college age children. In that case, the divorce agreement can certainly be modified (at the judge's discretion) if she decides to take you back to court.

Check your Property Settlement Agreement. Most have the contingency that both parties waive any future claims against the other party. If yours doesn't say that...you may be in trouble.

She should be able to take you back to court if private retirement funds were not referenced in the original divorce paperwork. She certainly can take part of your SS once you die.

I don't believe so. Look at your divorce papers and see if there is anything in the papers that allow her access to your retirement.

this should have been worked out at the time of the divorce. if she did not ever get her cut then, she could get it now
