My husband and I are currently in the process of divorce, the decree absolute is 6 weeks away. I recently applied for Legal aid to sort out the division of the matrimonial home, however, following a meeting with my husband yesterday, we have decided to sort out the house ourselves (we are still very amicable), i.e. he is just going to give me the amount of money that we agreed on, can I do this? Can i just go to my solicitor and tell him that I want to withdraw the application for legal aid? And do i have to tell him why? Do I have to tell him what our arrangement is? I would think that it would have nothing to do with my solicitor if we have sorted it ourselves, I just want to telll the solicitor to continue with the decree absolute and leave it at that. Serious answers only please, I am going to my solicitors on Monday and I don't want to offend him in any way! Thanks

i'm not cute, if someone were to rate me from 1 to 10, i'd be hovering somewhere ranging in the 4 or 6 section (im talking AVERAGE here)... im still in my late teens, im not interested in dating but what ive noticed so far is that looks triumph over personality for some reason. i tend to wonder, now that i'm growing up, if that will ever change... i have asked someone before, but no response, i think due primarily to looks... coming from asia, most guys tend to judge someone by their "fairness factor" and although im not completely dark, i have been called that as a reason for my 'uncuteness'...mind you, I DONT CARE ABOUT SKIN COLOR! but i am wondering, will this whole "looks over personality" concept change later on in life?

A few days ago my daughter told my wife that she loved me and that she did not like being with her and did not love her( she 7 years old).This made me very upset because she disrespected her mother.I grabed a few trash bags and gathered all her toys because I told her that her mother works very hard to give her things ,but now she does not deserve them.I did'nt throw them away because we would give them back to her later.When her behavior changes.I just found out that my wife went into the bags and gave her some toys back.Now I'm the bad guy.I think this was wrong

I love him and want him to move in and we have discussed this. My 7 year old trys to hug him and he sort of shrugs him off. Last night we discussed this in more detail and he said that he thinks my son would be a bad influence on his 2 year old daughter that he treats like a newborn , not a toddler. He says he has seen My son act up and is afraid that this will cause problems with his daughter, understand that he only gets his daughter every other Sunday from 12-6. But mostly I feel like he just doesnt like my son.
He has done some very nice things for us all and I have an 18 year old that notices the " neglect" of my youngest also so it is not just me. I sent the boyfriend an email tonight and told him that if he couldn't make an effort to be more outgoing with my youngest, then why even try living together. Another thing is he recently bought me a nice car and spent his savings on it and pretty much needs to move in soon... How do I handle this ? please honest answers.

we don't really talk that much but they invited my family to there daughter's b'day party @ a skating rink i spent the last 30 dollars i had on her for her b'day the whole time we was there they ignored my children and me then here recently both of my children just had b'days they didn't call,send a card or even get my children a present - i know it's my family but i just think what they did was wrong and my sister in law is due to have her 2nd child in sept.and she had a baby shower just a few weeks ago and didn't even invite me to the shower i fig. they call me to let me know when they have this baby what do u think about this situation

Ive always been curious about this. I know girls are wired a little differently than men & they actually need to know a person (sometimes) before having sex with them, this isnt true with men obviously, we can havee sex with a total stranger just based on what she looks like. O so lets start off with a little background. I'm a 13 year old girl and I only live with my dad because my parents split up when I was 1 me and my dad have a nice bond, but I only sometimes really tell him how I'm feeling. Any way he met this girl and they were video chatting because she lives in the philipines after 2 weeks we both met her and her little 2 year old for 2 weeks and now heres the thing in ike 8 months they are getting married so now for the first time I'm going to have a mother and a sister, but there is more the girl is pregnatso I'm acually gonna have two sibblings and my whole life is going to change and I know my dad and gerda have differnet parenting styles so its going to be a big change. I live in the midwest and the scene is kind of small to medium here. Everyone in my age range (29-36) seems to already be coupled off. I tried meeting people online but most of them seemed to be looking for a third. I am not much for bars and the typical places so how does one go about this. Should i just stand in the gay friendly sections of the bookstore for hours on end? I'm relatively attractive, I'm out to almost everyone, outgoing and have my crap together. Now I just need someone to share it all with, but they seem to already have that portion of their life taken care of, so suggestions are needed.

i know i do. i always wonder if men get into the profession just to be legally able to touch on a female down there. i know there are true doctors that love their job and dont associate it with any sexual feelings. but the most awkward thing happened to me.i used to work at McDonalds and i had a baby a few months earlier,,..well the doctor that delivered my child and was currently my gynecologist came into the restaurant and came to my cashier line. i was already embarrassed at the fact that he knows what my private looks like but when he ordered the filet-o-fish value meal......now that just broke the camels back for me. from that day on i made sure i never served him again. matter of fact my co workers told me that is what he orders every single time he comes in. ugh, how gross! although my boss and co workers thought that my awkward moments were hilarious, i failed to find the humor in the situation!

I know I am getting ahead with the going out thing, we've known of each other for at least 5 years... but we are from different worlds!

Hes what you would call a jock.. football player but hes a nice guy... doesnt do drugs, gets decent grades... he has only had one girlfriend, showing his seriousness in a relationship...

i dont know what it will take for him to notice me, but i want him to...

this is the first and last class i will have with him, as we are seniors in high school...

sometimes we say hi to one another, mostly not.

he probably wont keep it up if i dont do anything or try to talk..

its hard i dont know what to say... we are so different... i feel too grown up for him, i take college classes and all APs, work... its not being"good" or "bad" its the connection...

i feel something that can happen.. but its just a feeling...

he teases other girls... never me. we hardly know each other... plus im not the girl to be teased...

ok so i lied to get out of class and went to another teachers class n he wrote my name down and i feel so terrible because i lied to get out of class even though i did go back to class and grr i hate it i never do stupid things like this and i feel so terrible because he has my name down on the seating chart n im not even in his class!! sounds so stupid but im ina dumb class with all stuck up girls that r advanced dancers when im not..n i couldnt take thier crap since they dont help me or anything so i was like screw it ..why waste my time when all they do is give me crap even the teacher gives me crap...

well today my friend Magda called me crying that her bf had recently broke up with her and she wanted to hang out with me and my friend francisco.....i wasnt able to make it but it turs out that Francisco and magda ended up kissing....well Francisco has a gf that moved to georgia and he loves her very much they pretty much planned their whole lifes together... he called me up crying.....but he likes them both but doesnt wanna hurt either one of them because both magda and his gf have been through so much with past bf's that they will most likely end and he is also fed up with all of this and claims how he just wants to end his life rather than make a choice between who he considers to be the best 2 girls in the world....he is like a brother to me and i really dont want him to do anything stupid...what can i do? what should i tell him?

i feel lonely, i feel fustrated, i feel like crying. i feel my life is boring. i have a bf but he seems to be in his own world. some times i feel i dont fit in his world. he have his own friends. he dont offer to go anywhere with me. and when he's home he only play his video games. all we do is work and come home. or he may go out with his friends and then i get upset because he dont offer to do anything with me. sometimes i want to just leave him and find me someone else. but i cant because i love him. he tells me he love me to. but sometimes i dont think his love is real.
