i know i do. i always wonder if men get into the profession just to be legally able to touch on a female down there. i know there are true doctors that love their job and dont associate it with any sexual feelings. but the most awkward thing happened to me.i used to work at McDonalds and i had a baby a few months earlier,,..well the doctor that delivered my child and was currently my gynecologist came into the restaurant and came to my cashier line. i was already embarrassed at the fact that he knows what my private looks like but when he ordered the filet-o-fish value meal......now that just broke the camels back for me. from that day on i made sure i never served him again. matter of fact my co workers told me that is what he orders every single time he comes in. ugh, how gross! although my boss and co workers thought that my awkward moments were hilarious, i failed to find the humor in the situation!

a lot of people on here seem to think i enjoy gyno exams and think that im glorifying my private area like its better than othersand it aint nothing like that. i was simply wondering if it makes you uncomfortable when your being examined and im wondering if the same kind of things are going through your minds like mine. i hate having the examination done even if it was a female i have those same fears and thoughts. and the filet fish deal was kind of trying to make light of the situation. i take very good care of myself so i never worry when it comes to odors. im only trying to get a sense of what other females think on this subject. f*ck all the rest of you who are taking it to a whole other level. i wouldnt expect a doctor to get off on this crap but sometimes i wonder about some.

I think you have got to be kidding. Do you know how many he sees every day... in all kinds of conditions and all kinds of odors. I hate to break it to you, but I am guessing you don't have anything down there that is so outstanding that he is going to remember it. I know a married couple who are both Drs. and they are pretty good friends of ours and they are both obgyns. He actually said that it was difficult the first few years to even be interested in sex at all after beginning practice. From what he described, after seeing a few dozen nasty cases of VD and dealing with women will all kinds of odor problems and stuff hanging out down there... it kinda puts you off of the whole poon thing.

Not gynecologist but I asked my doctor while he was cutting into my back, if he had ANY feeling about cutting people's flesh. You know, you and I can never cut into a person's flesh!

He laughed and said, if he felt something every time he does incisions, he won't be able to do his job. He does this all day long and every day. He said, only time he ever felt anything was when he saw a child crushed horribly in a car accident.

While it is always possible some doctor may have *some* feeling to it, but I'd think, he sees you as just another patient, and your private parts is nothing more than just another body parts.

It appears he was decent and caring enough to not start any conversations with you, recognizing you were embarassed. Why did you tell your colleagues who he was? Just because you give such an entertainment, they were harrassing you.

Grow up!

i doubt it very much. he sees so much that he has no interest.

when you get home do you want to see a big mac? i don't think so.

there may be a few who may have problems.

at a certain point in life you can't really touch a woman if there is nothing there. and the thing of being deeply personal gets into to focus and unless there is some basis for an encounter that is more than casual you will definitely not touch something strange.

you feel conscious because maybe you feel at a disadvantage.

it occurs to me you are able to explain your feeling very clearly. maybe you would doing better working for a hospital or the police dept as a dispatcher. you would make more money.

Kiddo, You have the problem, not him!

Go see someone else deliver a baby and tell me if you think anyone in their right mind could think anything sexual about that.

I have watched all my grand-kids be born, and I have to tell ya It is totally a different view then the one you have when your having a baby.

It looks big enough to drive a truck through, lol.

You just feel awkward because the doctor has seen you unclothed.

Don't worry about it but maybe seek an older doctor or a female doctor..

Listen if the doctor is decent he is looking at a woman from a medical point of view not a sexual one. He isn't evaluating your vagina and other parts to see how they look sexually he is looking to see if your body is healthy. At my doctors office the nurse is in the room when you get examined and most offices are like that due to law suits. Instead of thinking a doctor is an OB/GYN because he wants to look at your body you should think the other way.. maybe he likes delivering children and thinks its fascinating to be a doctor in that field. And as for your doctor liking fish filets so what. I think your reading into that saying " if it smells like fish.."... I doubt if thats whats on his mind and if it is thats between him and God. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

I think you may be over reacting. I used to work for a doctor that was my Sunday School teacher. I didn't let him ever examine me except for listening to my heart. LOL I just couldn't make myself do that as I also had to look at him in church. LOL I know how you must feel.

Please try not to worry about this. I'm sure there are doctors out there that are weird in that way but most are strictly professional.

cut him some slack- maybe he just can't stand mc'ds burgers or chicken (i hate the burgers lol)! but really, i think it depends on the doctor and the woman. i had an hot, relatively young male doctor who has seen me naked numerous times, did exams on me, seen my nipple piercings, also then delivered 2 of my children. my husband saw him out at a bar one night- hubby and i were going thru some rocky times, nearly split. but in drunken conversation he told my man how he loved having all these hot women come in, who would usually be cleaned up (shaved) nice for him (i know i used to, lol), and how he was so lucky. always thought it was interesting how slowly he'd pull the gown up after a breast exam lol (jk) this was after he divorced his wife and also said that he had been with so many women since then that he could never go back to his wife. my husband couldn't believe what he told him, of course after that, it was so awkward to be seen by him, continued to do so for about a year or so. once i got pregnant the third time, my husband helped make the decision that i should see another doc. lol. so i know for a fact that it happens. can't put his name here, but he's a family practice doc in nebraska.

No, I'm clearly not as arrogant as you are. My parts look just like every other female's - I would imagine that is how the ob/gyne looks at it. Do you think someone becomes a proctologist so that he can handle poop and enjoys looking at butts? You are ridiculous. Your remark about the filet-o-fish is just plain stupid. The fact that you took the time to think of these things is astounding.

Why would filet-o-fish be gross? It's obviously a good selling item, or they would have axed it off the menu years ago. Like the Mc Fresh (does anyone even remember that?)

I see your point, but I think that if most of his patients smell like fish, then they have bigger problems.

Get over yourself, he has seen hundreds of Muffs and believe me, he ain't gonna be tossing the salad over a clam thats just spat a baby out, and yes, some people actually ORDER Filet o fish at Maccas, don't worry yourself over it, if in doubt, next time he comes in, watch him carefully (discreetly), if he strives to make eye contact, observe his reaction, if he smiles and looks smug, then yes he's thinking to himself 'I know what you had for breakfast THAT time'. Until then, he prolly don't even remember you.. seriously.
