It seems to me that some people offer divorce as the only possible solution to couples who are experiencing problems in their marriage.
It is not the first and only option married people have!!
It should be the last resort. It is extremely painful, and damaging especially when there are children involved.
The same way people should consider marriage with all its implications, the same way they should consider divorce.
It is costly psychologically and materially!!!
So, please, do not just advise people to get a divorce or leave their partner whenever they cry for help.
Are there lots of happy divorcees out there? What do you think?

I am a transfer student going to another college in Louisiana. Well this is a whole new world for me and not used to it at all. Since it is sooo freaking hot i really cant keep up with the bald head because its soo hot and it burns my head like crazy. So.....any suggestions on what may look better on me.

I'm 17, I have no social life and I don't know ANY girls!! This has been bothering me my entire life, I feel depressed and lonely all the time. And the other day I went to this school function where there were tons of people, girls and guys. I looked forward to it for a really long time, 'cause I'm not an antisocial guy, I love being around people, I just never get the chance to be. And I really thought that this was my chance to at least get one girl's number or something. But it was all just a big screw-up, I didn’t meet any girls and I think that this was my only chance, and I f****d it up!!!
I really feel like s**t now: depressed, sad, and lonely. I've officially lost all hope... How can I stop feeling this way and get my life in order?? Please, any advice would be appreciated.

alrighty, there's this guy I met about a month ago. He's cute and very nice. But Im starting to think he likes me. Because, he did ask me if I had a bf, or am I looking for one!..then anytime he sees me..he gets happy and he will be slick and walk over to me and start talking. Or like one time.. Ok, so here's another one of those 'Internet Love' questions. But I feel I really need to tell my story so I can get some opinions on the situation.

Im 14 years old, and for 6 months now, Ive had very deep feelings for a boy I met over the internet and Im certain he feels the same. He is also 14. We both know what the other looks like, and I feel we know each other very well. Ive never felt this strongly towards anyone before. I know you might be thinking he could be anyone and that its very easy to lie on the internet. But after knowing him for so long I really trust him. I cant see myself with anyone other than him, and I hope, in a couple of years time, we will eventually meet.

However, the only doubt in my mind is that becuase of our age, we may be vulnerable into thinking we're in love, when actually we just have stong feelings for one another. But, it does feel alot like love.

I would appreciate some feedback on this and whether or not you think we are in love

I want to quit since I am often soar and generally hate the sport. I am miserable at practice and after practice. I hurt my neck a lot at practice and it is often soar. I am 15, and freshman.

Do you have any ideas how I could convince her to let me quit? The regular season has not even started. I understand she wants me to stay in shape but I am willing to work out on my own accord instead. Help???

I mean in every single conversation, love must be mentioned...

Almost every song is about love.

Almost every movie has love as one of its main plots.

Most people's LIVES revolve around love and it's always "We broke up so I guess it wasn't love" or "Omg I think I'm in love." and so on and so on.

I don't understand it. I don't see anything in love besides 2 people needing to feel wanted when it comes to couples *nature's trick to human reproduction*, in family it's nothing but a sense of obligation, and in friends it's nothing but survival in numbers and to dim the sense of loneliness all human beings are supposed to feel.

So why is the world obsessing over this not-so-fascinating concept?

Looking back on a failed relationship - what are some things that you learned about yourself?
For me I realized that I had allowed my self respect to be trampled on by my S-T-B-E-W. I will never allow another woman to do that to me again.
This woman turned out to be a very selfish and self centered person. Instead of focusing on trying to work on our marital problems - she sought comfort in the arms of other men.
What a shame .. we could have had a great life together. But it was her choice.
The one I feel bad for in all this is my little 6 1/2 year old son.
His family life got ripped apart .
My focus now is trying to be the best dad I can be and to always be there for him.
Please don't get the impression that I was a saint ..I wasn't .. but I never cheated on her,abused her in anyway and tried to be as a good a husband as I possibly could.
Could I have done better. You bet.
But we live and learn in life.

recently my marriage has had more downs than ups. i have expressed my willingness to fix our marriage at any cost. i have requested forgiveness for my shortcomings and likewise offered to forgive my spouse. after 8years tg u begin 2 learn how people act, when they r excited or mention something or somebody a couple of different times. I asked my wife if there was somebody new in her life and she looked me in the eye and said no. she just had this weird look about her though, so i asked her if she would tell me if there was. she said that she would not tell me. additionally we have only had sex once over the past couple of weeks. she has apoligized and told me that it was bc her stomach had been hurting her at night. she still wants me to rub her back however i don't feel close to her, i feel very distant. in my mind even her kisses are a weak effort. does this behavior mean she has another man on her mind?

I am just recently staying at my sis' place on the weekends. She gets really angry at every little thing that's out of place, like a dish in the sink, a plugged in adapter not in use, a wet towel on the floor, etc. Every single time she gets mad, she yells and screams like a maniac. Most of the time, I don't even know why since I don't know every pet peeve of hers. Right now I can honestly say that alot of women find me attractive. I have muscles, I play division 1 college football, and handsome. i live in a familly of 7 i have two younger bros and mom dad and my grand parents .and my father wants me to help him in his familly business ......but i dont wana do the familly business i wana be a software engenies i am 18 years old and my parents wont let me do any thing of my wish .i go to a collage and also go for computer traning in evening .its not like that i dont wana help him but the thing i have been told to do a so off my qualification .i have to do the work of a delivery person and even more if i do get home early some time from collage they ask me to come to the work place and sit idle ....and if i ask then for some work the give me some work equivelant to a peon or something wht should i do i meam if my father is owner of a factory how can i do such a work of a low profile......

I currently am in college and feel alone due to having zero friends. I am not hard to get along with and feel I am a decent person, so i don't think im the problem. I tend to be shy and introverted however. I want to have friends, but when i try to go and meet new people, I realize I'd rather be alone. I just think alot of ppl my age seem simple-minded and immature and I just can't pretend to be like that just so I can have "friends". Don't get my wrong i'm not a self-rightous jerk, but i just can't see pretending to be a certain way in order to have friends. Basically, I ask, is it better to be who you are and have no friends or should I conform to the standard to gain some aquaintances.I really don't know what to do.. I hate not having anyone to talk to and I feel really isolated... especially since i room alone as well... any suggestions?
