Hi.
my 27 yr old daughter and grandson have just been on holiday for two and a half weeks abroad to meet a guy who lives there who she has been with 2 years.
They are on their way back soon i am collecting them from the airport soon.
She sounds so sad i am not sure what to say for the best, i told her to mark the calandar and count the days until they meet again, but not sure what else to say or whether not to say anything atall?
I have cleaned all her flat for her and decorated a room she badly wanted doing as a surprise so this will hopefully hel[p a little.
there is only 17 years between us and we dont always see eye to eye but i love her and my grandson with all my heart i just wish i could help take this pain away as when she cries i cry.
Any advice would be so gratefully received.

ok me and my girl been arguing alot for the past 3 days and its over stupid shyt, she just get mad at mecuz i did something and start bitchin n complainin, n its to the point i dont even wanna talk to her when shes like that...
N i get mad too...
well i just moved in here , we been going out for 3 months and i moved in here from my moms house officially about 2 or 3 weeks ago, n she said i cant go back there(my mom did), well i aint got a job n im currently looking for work, what should i do if i wanna call this relationship off, i cant do shyt, should i just wait it out til i save up for a new place?

well, i broke up wiyh my bf nearly 5 months ago.
the trouble is tht i just get times every so often when i just miss him, we decided to be friends and we kept on txting eachother (i got more txts from him after we broke up than when we were together)but then we just cut off he sttoped txting i did as well, but i know he is ok because i have a friend who knows him. i also know tht is not normal to have more txts when we broke up than when we were together and i know he is an ex 4 a reason but i just miss him.......
i still have his mobile wrote down somewhere, what should i do ? txt him and see how he is or not ? thx

Like if she did her hair differently, her nails and feet are done, she just got her eye brows done, she is wearing a new dress, she smells good, etc.? I think it's very nice when guys notice these things.

I have two etiquette questions:
1) We are having a buffet style dinner. Do I need to make a place card on the table to let people know what is being served?

2) Do I need to get the parents a gift for the wedding? We're not doing corsages or anything like that. They have given us money but they haven't really helped. (They live 3000 miles away). Thanks

My mother has 3 children. 2 boys and 1 girl. I happen to be the only girl. and I swear that this lady as much as I have done for her has made my days miserable and painful. I'm the oldest of 3 and the only girl... i'm not saying my mother should choose me out of her children but i'm the only girl.. we should be closer as mother and daughter. She degrades me and insults me.... and mistreats me.. and none of this is ever done to my other siblings. I thought maybe I was the one who was doing something wrong and I started cleaning more... and i've never been any trouble to her.. i dont drink, smoke, go out late, i'm never in the streets, i'm never doing anything that brings her trouble. when i was younger like 12 she left me in a hospital room all by myself when i needed her the most at times i had to act like i was sick sometimes to get attention from her.. but my other siblings got unconditional love.. she was there through everything for them. she missed my HS graduation

How is it that when you have feelings for a person that everything physically and emotionally gets so wound up. I have been with my boyfriend for close to three months now, and just thinking about him makes my head spin, stomach flutters, I mean I litteraly am beside myself.
So I feel lately that being in love is more of a disease. hehe It feels awesome to be in love I will say that much.

My sons father is trying to get custody of my son and its all about the money. He just doesnt want to pay child support anymore. He hasnt been much of a father up untill he filed for custody. Now hes trying step up and spoil my son so he can appear to be a good father in court and so my son will say he wants to be with him. Could I lose my baby for the fact Im broke and have depression and anxiety issues and my son says he wants to be with him because he doesnt realize what his fathers doing?

just wondering if anyone has felt this way... ok so I had a bad break up with my girl of 2.5 years. its been 9 months since the break, she has a boyfriend, and im pretty much just hooking up with a few girls regularly and quite a few different girls randomly (no disrespect ladies) I took the break up really hard but got over the worst of it in about 3 months. now that i've been dating these other girls i am completely over M*r*s*a but now im kind of confused and sad because i dont miss her anymore or love her or for that matter care for her. she even kind of wants to get back and I dont want to. is this normal, good, bad, a** hole-ish? should I have waited longer before hooking up with all these other girls for in case our love could have been saved? i would really like to hear what you ladies think (oh by the way, she cheated on me not the other way around. Ok so here is the deal! My brother who is 26 is dating this chic who is 20! She is a compulsive liar! She lies about EVERYTHING! She lies about being pregnant! They have been together on and off for a year! I swear this chic has been pregnant the whole time! But ether she miscarries or its unexplained! No one really knows! I'm the oldest of six children, It's me, my sister, and I have four half-brothers. I've never met my brothers, because I don't see my dad, and my mom always told me that he wouldn't let me see them. Well, recently, I learned that I am allowed to see them, but it would mean seeing a father whom I haven't spoken to for almost 9 years. I've always wanted brothers, and I've been dying to see mine since the oldest was born 7 years ago. I've been with my partner for 3 years now, and we've recently been discussing the whole business of marriage. Neither of us are keen on it, and would prefer a low-key commitment ceremony instead. He's been shopping for a ring that I will wear as an 'engagement ring', but will be more of a commitment promise ring.

My dilemma - how would I announce it? I'm just as excited as anyone getting engaged, and I'll be wearing the ring on my right ring finger, I just want people to understand that this is still a very special moment for the boy and I - even when marriage will never be a part of it.
