I would hopefully one day like to buy a house and use it to start renting out houses for a living. When the first gets to doing good business. I would like to by a couple more and rent them also. I would like some imput from people who have been successful at this.

There are alot of people who do this. Remember though, it takes money to make money. You will have to do all repairs on the house(s). Maybe you could go in with a good friend or relative and get someting started. You need to learn the laws that go with renting out houses. Study up on this and see where you go from here.

Since your new to this game there is two very important factors you most consider. One is location, there is no use in getting a house that no one is going to rent. Second is the renters, no use gettin renters you can't trust. I have a family friend who has been doing this to great success for most of his life. The secert. HOUSE NEXT TO SCHOOLS!!! Thats right find houses within about 2 miles of a elementary/highschool and you'll have plenty of people going have that location. Besides that family people are usually the best people to trust to take care of there businees. Just check refrences and don't do people favors, this is your livly hood!
