Like, when i first broke up with my bf i was a mess and listening to sad songs. Now i'm slowly but surely getting over him and like listening to songs that make me glad im not with him, and that make me feel good about myself now im not with him as he wasn't worth it.

Anything from Avril Lavigne's first album and some on her second. Kelly Osbourne's debut album. A lot of Pink's & Lily Allen's music. I love the Veronicas - lots of great songs on their album especially "Secret" "Mouth Shut" & "Revolution"!!!!
Another great song is "Shut Up" by Dirtie Blonde.
Best song...almost forgot about this one is..."I Understand" by McMaster & James (Canadian artists) Here's a sample of the lyrics:

How about a little Alanis Morissette? I agree with the person who suggested Fiona Apple, and Cake is always good for any mood (even if the lead singer is guy). I prefer Cake's rendition of "I Will Survive."

Well if you want angry then go for Fighter by Christina Aguilera or maybe Predictable by Delta Goodrem or Survivor by Destiny's Child!! Or sad ones - Stop by Jamelia or Impossible by Christina Aguilera. I know we're going REALLY girly now but See Ya by Atomic Kitten!

Definitely "i will survive" by Gloria Gaynor! It's an old song but it really sticks two fingers up at guys who have hurt you! Or you could try "All out of love" by what's her name! Blonde woman with the glasses and the cleveage! begins with 'C'.
