Well, depends on age and how long. Here's just a general answer since I don't have many details :)
Teen and Committed:
Girls love totally romantic dates. Now, contrary to popular belief, romantic does not have to be expensive. Just make it personal. The general is a picnic near the lake in the afternoon with the two of you chilling and whatnot. That's just really general. The best things are little and personal. They make a major impact. Trust me, if you do it just right, she'll be telling ALL her girlfriends about it. And arch enemies... And mother... and random people :)
Adult and Committed:
Either a really nice afternoon/ night out or just a comfy all chill chick-flick "turbo cuddliness" night at home (this means no sex, sorry to tell you :p) There are tons of ways to impress a woman (contrary to popular belief :p). Also, like I said in the teen and committed part, personalization is key. I mean, it's a HUGE thing.

Impress??? Why do you feel the need? If you have been together for quite some time then she most likely knows you well.
Asking the question here is a good start.
Not much info to go on- take her on vacation- a suprise party with her friends- call her mom and ask for an idea- of course a diamond is what all women want long term!

if you've been with her for a long time then you should know what her compplaints are. If she asks you to help with certain thingd, whatever it is, just start doing it without needing her to ask you to do it!!!!And do it right!!! That's the most important thinh here, doing it right. This will drive her so crazy, she'll fall in love all over again with you!!! Trust me on this one!!!
You canmake the bed every morning instead of her, or do the supper dishes, do a load of laundry( towels to be safe),change and take the garbage out !!!! You know what to do.

-compliment her everyday like telling her how beautiful she is. girls like that even after being in a long relationship.
-surprises...girls still love receiving love notes and flowers. something that you put all your thought into and has a lot of meaning. it dont have to be big gifts but like a card or maybe a poem telling her how much you appreciate her and love her.
-take her out somewhere spontaneous. something you two hardly do. sometimes girls want to do adventrous things and not the same things every single time.

Tell her how beautiful she is, and act like you just started going out again. cook for her or something engage in some kind of activity that both of you will have to do together. and make it known that your relationship is better than anyone elses even if your in a hard time

Why do you want to impress her. I mean you already have her. She's already your girl. You impress girls when you want them to be your girl. Personally I wouldn't waste my time trying to impress a girl thats already my girlfriend.

Take her out to dinner, buy her flowers and chocolates, pay for all that. Be nice to her, and treat her like a queen!

me being a girl...i sometimes like it when me and my bf cuddle up next to th fireplace and drink hot chocolate and talk about old times and memories...and it usually ends up with me falling asleep in his arms
